I bought it because I am an instructor and use these bikes at the gym I teach. I loved the bikes so much I had to have one for my home. I bought the Keiser M5 because I was looking for something to give me variety in by training. Since I liked the bike so much I decided to buy the M5.I am not disappointed in my decision to buy the M5. It is every bit as smooth as the bike, quiet, and commercial grade. The unit has ball bearings through out, no bushings. No slop/play in any of the arms as in some of the cheap ones. The color in black matches my bike exactly which was important to me. Both me and my wife and my adult daughter use it. I had a small issue when assembling it. I called Keiser and they were very helpful. The computer had come unplugged inside during shipping. Very easy fix.The one thing I am disappointed in is the calorie counter. It is very low and not realistic. This doesn't bother me though because I always train using the heart rate monitor as a gauge of my intensity. This is the only way you can accurately monitor your intensity on any cardio exercise.With the popularity of their bikes I am surprised I couldn't find more information on line, like reviews.I would definitely purchase this again and highly recommend any one interested to not hesitate. I used it once and my impression was that I should replace my current elliptical which was in need in repair with this strider. It’s relatively simple. It doesn’t have programmed workouts or an adjustable stride length, but the resistance is infinitely variable, the footprint is small, it is quiet and rock solid. They put a lot of thought into the design. I run a lot and I wanted something for cardio on days I didn't want to be outside that would make almost no noise. I've had a treadmill before, lasted about 6 years before I destroyed it lol. This machine fits me better. I just like to focus on improving the numbers.
