My first reason was that I was just going off of a picture. The second was that it would not get to me when I needed it. Both of my concerns were invalid. My wife loved it. When I first received it the Emerald was not as shiny as the one in the picture. The good news was that my wife worked in a high end jewelry store for a couple of years and said that she was glad it was not like the picture. She used her jeweler's loop to see the small imperfection and stated that is what made it perfect. She said the super shiny ones are either super costly or synthetic.
