It is a cute story about Mr. Rally and his dog Lightning who "have five digging job to do today". It goes on to describe the jobs Mr. Rally does with his backhoe, meanwhile his doggy has five "projects" of his own (digging out bones). The pictures are humorous and lively. Kids can learn to count to 5, memorize the rhymes, train their attention and memory ("are there more digging jobs to do?" Yes!).
