Review: Works perfectly - if you use the correct components - This little cable is the perfect charging solution for my Surface Pro 6 (SP6). It makes the SP6 compatible with all of my existing USB C PD fast chargers and cables. (I also use the newest 3rd generation 9 pin magnetic cables everywhere.) I can easily move from room to room, and even charge my SP6 on the 45W PD charger in my truck. It charges just as fast as on the original Microsoft power supply, which I don't have to carry when I travel any more. Read the requirements for charger and cable carefully. (45W, 15v / 3A) You will love this little thing! --------------- Update. After using this for a while, I did notice the same trackpad issues that others have reported. The trackpad on the microsoft cover/keyboard is not as responsive when charging with this cable. Not a deal breaker for me, but it is annoying. **Q: Can anybody tell me how long this cable is in inches ?**
A: The actual cable portion is 4.75 inches. The USB connector housing on one end is 1.5 inches. The Surface connector housing on the other end is 1.75 inches.

**Q: Why not just plug the usb c cable into the usb c charging port?**
A: If your Surface has a USB C port you can but depending on the charger and cable it can be very slow, Microsoft does not seem to recommend it. This cable works great with the right charger.

**Q: Is this compatable with Surface Go 3?**
A: hello, this cable is compatible with surface go 3, but you must use a 15v 30w charger.

**Q: What's the maximum number of watts that this cable will deliver? can it deliver 100 w from a 100 w charger, or will it only deliver a maximum of 45 w?**
A: The surface have two charging powers 15v2.58A and 15v4a, the maximum power of my cable is 15v2.58A.
Most usb-c chargers do not have the power of 15v4a. Basically, the nominal value of 60w is 20V3A. The surface requires 15V, so 15V4A is actually not available in USB-C charger.
In fact, 15v2.58a is enough, the surface cannot work at full load for a long time, and the daily office power is only about 20-30W.

This little cable is the perfect charging solution for my Surface Pro 6 (SP6). It makes the SP6 compatible with all of my existing USB C PD fast chargers and cables. Worst products ever! Don't buy this or any other cable from them. They don't have stable charging. It charges, stops, charges, and so on... I do have the required PD and cable to use with this adapter. Simple refund , but an annoying waste of time.
