Cake Lace is so easy to use, Simply make to manufacturer's instructions, spread onto the mat and place in the oven at 70 degrees. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes take out of the oven and cool for 5 minutes and it is then ready to use.

This makes beautiful cake lace butterflies!!  Very important however,  look up the video Making Cake Lace Butterflies With Claire Bowman.  Be sure to follow the instructions to a tee AND to use the two different Claire Bowman products the institutions call for and they will come out looking awesome!!  I tried a different cake lace product on the first try and while they came out beautifully they would not hold their shape. So the use of the pearlized product along with her regular cake lace product is imperative.

This was the first I used this and was very nervous. It was to decorate cupcakes for a baby shower. I needn't worry! They were easy to make and they looked fantastic! Only downside was that the humidity, at the shower, made the butterflies fall flat on the cupcakes, instead of keeping the wings bent upwards. No real problem though, they still looked fantastic! Everyone was in awe of them AND they were able to eat them! How cool!
