I realize my use case is probably rather extreme for what the product is intended for... I get water and chemicals on and inside the timer regularly, as long as you don't completely submerge or pour liquids directly onto the timer it will probably be fine. I accidentally spilled film developing chemicals on the timer and it stopped working, I let it dry out for a few days and put the batteries back in and it has continued to work as expected.
