Initially, I could not figure out how to punch in a specific time such as "39 seconds". HERE'S HOW TO SET A SPECIFIC TIME: Push the "Power" button and it will show "100P" (adjust this via the pushing power button if needed). Now enter your specific time such as "39" and push "Start". Voila! These instructions are NOT in the manual. Other than that, I like this microwave. I chose it specifically for its size for our work kitchen to save countertop space. It's a little loud - it reminds me of the sound when you get an x-ray. But, for work, this is fine. I like that the "beep" sound turns off when you open the door instead of finishing its "beeps".
