A: If you can connect to the underground wire and send the “signal” through the underground “invisible” fence, then yes.

**Q: Will this work to find underground category 5e and 6+ data cables?**
A: Yes it will as long as you connect the transmitter to the wires properly.

**Q: Can this be used on hvac equipment refig. line's that are in use?**
A: Personally I have never tried this but I have attached the signal to a fish tape and followed it inside a plastic pipe.  I see no reason why it would not work on your hvac lines.

**Q: What is the range of receiver when using coupler clamp method?**
A: As long as the run is.
