## Overview

The SureFire G2X Tactical flashlight combines a powerful 600-lumen LED with a rugged, lightweight Nitrolon polymer body and anodized aluminum bezel. Featuring an intuitive tactical tailcap click switch for momentary or constant-on use, it delivers a smooth, optimized beam via a micro-textured reflector. Waterproof to IPX7 standards and impact-resistant, this flashlight is engineered for tactical reliability and ease of use, making it a trusted companion for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

## Description

The G2X Tactical is a compact yet powerful polymer-body flashlight designed specifically for tactical use. Providing simplicity of operation and tremendous illuminating power in a small package, it uses a high-efficiency LED--virtually immune to failure since there's no filament to burn out or break--to generate a brilliant, penetrating, perfectly pre-focused 320-lumen beam. The G2X is activated by a tactical tailcap click switch, the same type used on many SureFire WeaponLights for years--partially press for momentary-on; press further until it clicks for constant-on activation. The tough Nitrolon polymer body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and resists scratches, abrasion, and corrosion. A polycarbonate micro-textured reflector delivers a comparatively wider beam with generous peripheral light.

Review: Great light for EDC, personal use, or even a budget weapon light - Bought this for use an a rifle and it excelled in that use. As a budget weapon light it shown brightly and at a good distance. Perfect for use on my little 2 acre farm. Unfortunately, I ended up have to move it to the other side of my rifle, necessitating a tape switch. The tape switch that fit this light was was more than a Streamlight that came with mounts and a tape switch. So this light had become my everyday carry flash light, and I throw it in my pocket every morning. It is great for this function as well as its rather compact and light weight. It fits well in the hand, and it functions perfectly so I do not even care that it has a polymer body. Darn thing has held up well to all kinds of abuse already. The only critique I have is that the batter life kinda sucks, but at the same time its far from the worst I've had in the battery dept. Speaking of batteries, I like that it is not a plug in and charge set up and I can change batteries when ever I see fit, though it would have been nice to have both options. That said, I have heard that you cannot use rechargeable batteries in this, but I have not confirmed that since all I have for it are standard non-recharging batteries anyway. All in all great light, I plan on buying more for the next hurricane season.
Review: A great rifle light - I really like this flashlight so far. I mounted it on a .300BLK rifle and have fired a few hundred rounds through it with the flashlight in place, no issues from the light during firing. It feels solidly constructed and has a reasonable weight and size. There are certainly smaller and lighter lights out there, but I feel this one is a good blend of size and durability. I've ran it for about an hour total so far and no need to change the batteries yet. I mounted it on the rifle so the thumb on my support hand can easily reach the button, I've had no issues operating the light while maintaining control over the rifle. I like the press=momentary and full click= constant, it seems more in line with regular pocket flashlights and doesn't require learning new controls. Some lights out there need a users manual to operate properly. I like to test weapon lights by sitting in a dark room for a few minutes until my eyes adjust, the turn the light on a white wall. If I don't have to reflexively turn my head or close my eyes I call it good, and this light passed that test. Its bright, but not so bright you blind yourself at 3am trying to find the meth-addled ax murderer who just kicked in your front door. Overall, 5 stars for a solid, reliable product that is a good size/weight and easy to use. Also can't complain about the price, it is very reasonable in a world of $200+ flashlights. Update: I've been to the range a bunch in the last few months, I've put around 1000 rounds through my rifle and the light has held firm and works perfectly still. I tried it out at night in the woods, good field of view and brightness at range.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: have you shot with it yet?? can it take the recoil of a 12 gage?**
A: My wife has one on her 12 gauge Mossberg, it's probably been shot less than 100 times with no issues. I had that light on my AR for several hundred rounds before it went on the shotgun. I think it will be fine.

**Q: any one used this with an ak47? will it hold up to the shock and blast of the rifle?**
A: iv got the biggest most bad a$$ remington 870 express magnum 12ga I can get and use 3inch magnum OO.buck and the G2Xtactical and it hold just as good as the gun! iv shot it with the light on the gun about 65-70 times.iv don alot of research on good flashlights this is the best for the money..

**Q: I am looking for a flashlight for to use in a fight or flight situation. Any thoughts on this one?**
A: For the guy who mentioned strobe, the testing indicates striving doess little compared to a full 300 to 500 lumens. strobe actually can disorient the defender holding the flashlight. For defensive usye it lis light into the eyes of attack or in CQ a) filling the fist with something of any weight and support for knuckles is helpful and b) also if it sticks out half an inch from the sides of your fist, striking hand of someone grabbing you breaking bones in back of hand, or strikes to collarbone or temple with the protruding part of the light. You do NOT need a bezel

**Q: Does the 2016 version have a twist end cap or a clicky button? It seems that half the people last year got one type, and half got the other. ? ?**
A: The one I got in April 2016 had the click button - no twist. Light press for momentary on, firm click for constant on.

High quality flashlight. Good performance and the plastic handle is good in cold weather. Too soon to comment on durability or battery life
