This is a very nice pruner for the price. Unfortunately, they don't work out for my small hand as they open very wide. **Q: Do these pruners stiff springs that would be hard for someone with weak or arthritic hands?** A: The pruners are not stiff. I believe you will be fine with weak hands. The pruners are advertised as 'women' friendly; as a older woman, I found this to be true :) **Q: What is the maximum cutting diameter?** A: It can cut 1/2" hard wood and 3/4" usual wood **Q: Two questions: Where are these made?
