Not too light and not too heavy. It is sunning. The wood grain is beautiful and complements the face of the watch so much! It came beautifully and safely packaged in its own box! My husband kept the box to keep his watch in when he is not wearing it. The engraving on the back is special to him and he really did love this gift! It is sized for a man l, it would definitely be too big on a female's wrist. My husband did have to take a few links out for it to fit him, but the instructions were clear and he was able to get it done in about 15 minutes. Note that my husband is only recently a watch guy so taking links out is completely new to him! He says it is comfortable and he forgets he even has it on some days! I got it last year before Christmas and we haven't changed the battery yet, so I'd say the battery life is probably comparable to other watches. Would buy again!
