We have found it to be effective, and particularly like that you can apply various levels of pressure. It's a great multi-purpose tool for working on various areas of the body and the beveled edge is helpful for getting to deeper layers of soft tissue. The quality is excellent, made of solid medical grade stainless steel which makes it durable and easy to care for. It's not large or cumbersome, making it a convenient tool to both carry around and store. It comes with a zippered case for easy storage between uses. Given that there are multiple edges built into one tool, this releaser offers the benefit of not having to interchange between multiple tools.
