**Q: How many leaves are inside a single packet?**
A: Each package contains between 4-7 leaves.  This variation depends on the side of each leaf.  Thank you for your enquiry.

**Q: What is the size of these pandan leaves? What is the length and width?**
A: Length vary from about 1.5’ to 3’
Width vary from about 1.5” to 3”

**Q: How long will the leaves last? Can I preserve them in some way? I'm going to make a simple syrup with them but only need a couple of leaves at a time.**
A: The best way to preserve them is to extract them using 3/4 cup of water, one package (1.5oz) of pandan leaf by cutting the leaves into ½” lengths.   Puree the leaves in water, strain using cheesecloth (squeeze out all of the juice).  Freeze the extract in ice cube tray (1 tablespoon of extract per each cube) for future use.  Some guidelines that I use for this concentration of extract:
1. Simple syrup: 1/4 cup of pandan extract in 1/4 cup of sugar
2. Vanilla substitute: 1/4 teaspoon vanilla with 2 tablespoons pandan extract
