## Overview

The O'Neill Reactor 2 2mm Reef Booties are expertly designed for water enthusiasts, featuring a durable textured rubber sole, fluid foam neoprene for flexibility, and flat stitch construction for enhanced comfort. Perfectly sized for men, these booties ensure a snug fit while providing the traction needed for rocky terrains.

## Description

The O’Neill Reactor 2mm Reef Booties offer lightweight protection and comfort for all water activities. Built with an anatomical fit and round toe shape, they protect your feet while allowing for natural movement. Flatlock stitched seams add durability and breathability, while the lightweight FluidFlex neoprene keeps you comfortable all day. An extra-thick, durable rubber sole provides excellent traction, and the easy-entry heel pull tab makes them simple to slip on and off. Perfect for reef protection, surfing, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and all beach or water adventures.

Review: Durable, flexible, fit well, and NO glued-in insole, so no problems there - Size was as advertised. Fits well - not too tight, so relatively easy to get on and off, even when wet. Soles are a good compromise between toughness and flexibility. I found them comfortable and reasonably protective when walking across sharp beach rocks and shells. One of the best features is that these (unlike most others) do NOT have a glued-in insole piece. With other reef shoes with glued-in insoles, eventually (sometimes in minutes!) the insole glue begins to degrade, especially when walking over rough rocks and shells, and pretty soon your insoles are falling out or crumpling and bunching up in the shoe. Not with these reef walkers. After multiple uses daily for almost two weeks, there was no sign of any degradation or wear on the shoes and they went on and off just as easily as they did out of the box. These are the best reef walkers I have had, and we have done a lot of boat charters and gone through quite a few previous sets. I expect these to last for a long time.
Review: A simple REVIEW - OK: I am giving these 5 stars because there is really nothing bad about the shoes (although I probably would not order them again). Below find a review of what to expect: 1. SIZING - GO 1/2 SIZE DOWN I have a 1/2 size (since there are no 1/2 sizes - I went a 1/2 size up). The shoe fits fine this way and is snug enough to stay on my feet - but I am aware they are a bit big (again not big enough to be an issue). If ordering again - I think I would go 1/2 size DOWN (since there is enough give) and have the shoe be somewhat snug (I don't think it would be too tight). 2. WATER USE - GREAT These work VERY well IN (I stress IN) the water. For rocky beaches and body surfing - they are superb. If that is your use - I don't think you can find a better shoe. They are light weight - they stay in place, they do not hold the sand. 3. OUT OF THE WATER / BOAT USE - NOT GREAT If you are using these in your boat or kayak - or want to jose these out of the water - I would look for something different. You foot gets VERY hot, and VERY sweaty, VERY quickly. In the water great - out of the water - even for a short time - no. The shoes seem well made and have no real flaws - just really best as an in the water shoe. Hope that helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent lake shoe
*by A***B on July 19, 2017*

We have a cottage on a inland lake where muck can be an issue. Water shoes are a must in order to make swimming and boating a more pleasant experience. In the past I would pick up an inexpensive pair of water shoes in the $10 - $15 range. But they never lasted more than one season. Insoles would quickly work loose, the mesh uppers allowed sand and muck into the shoe, which made them quite uncomfortable in extended wear situations. So this summer I looked for something better, and decided on the O'Neill reef boot. So far, so good! I wear a size 13 shoe, so I went with a 13 reef shoe. The toe box is roomy while the fit is sung around the ankle, as it should be. There's no insole to come loose, which is a huge plus. The soles are thicker than on your typical inexpensive water shoe, making them better to wear when on shore. The closed toe and full Neoprene upper keep sand and muck out far, far better than the mesh upper water shoes I used in the past. I wholly expect to get more than one season out of these shoes, saving me money in the long run. For my needs, the O'Neill reef shoes have been a huge upgrade over the typical water shoe/aqua sock I wore in the past.
