No need for another coat that'll sit in a closet most years. I also really like the stretchy glove insert cuff that's supposed to keep snow from making its way up your sleeves - keeps rain from running down your arms inside the sleeves. I work outside (non-profit farming) and this year's rainy season tested my 15 year old snowboard jacket to its limits. It was fine for 10-15 min but would soak through after that enough that my arms were damp. Washed my coat with regular detergent and laid it out on a tarp in the spare bedroom. Sprayed it down all over and blotted up the small puddles that formed. Waited 20 min and gave the sleeves/hood another light coat and blotted the excess. Waited another 15 min before throwing it in the dryer on low. No fumes to speak of and I'm easily bothered by smells. The over spray on the tarp transferred to the bottoms of my feet and I'm sliding around a bit on our tile floors. I'm glad I didn't spray this in the shower, we'd never be safe in there again. Wore the jacket to walk to my car and the very light rain did bead up. However, it is still to be seen if the coat has regained the majority of its water-resistance. I'd buy it again. Wish the bottle was bigger but for the price I'm happy.
