I first purchased the jabra bt620s then the nokia bh501 and based on my experience with all three headsets I would recommend this one the most. If there are no walls you can go around 14 meters way, I think is very far and convenient, I can left my phone on the desk and move around, go for coffee and even to the bathroom, I can move freely though the floor on my building. The thing that I like the most is that is very comfortable, I don't tolerate earphones or headsets for too long, but I use the BH-503 all day, I really like music and I have my phone full of hours and hours that now I can enjoy at work. They fit very well on the head and they can support themselves, you can even move them up to your ears if you feel too much weight). They look and feel very resistant, is mostly made of a kind of strong rubber, they are flexible and durable (as it should be considering Nokia's reputation). *If you own a nokia N8 or other nokia phone you may find the following useful: The only bad thing is that when I first received and tested them they sounded great with music but I was not able to talk or make a phone call with them, the phone (Nokia N8) was able to call, but there was no sound and the micro wasn't working either. But all I just needed to do was to update the phone's software to resolve this. At the beginning I was disappointed because both are nokia products and I was trying to avoid compatibility issues buying a headset of the same brand, they should be using same standards. That could be my fault, I could miss a step on the documentation or didn't search well enough, however I can tell you I search on the Nokia knowledge base and there were no results with the keywords "n8" - " bh-503" so I do think this is something Nokia needs to improve. But I needed something for work that would let me groove to the latest Buffett album without having a cord connected to my PC or iPhone. So I grabbed the BH-503. Setup was easy - charge the battery overnight, turn on the headphones, enable Bluetooth on my iPhone and voila! - the headphones were paired and ready to use. Took some time for me to figure out how to tell my iPhone which output to use, but after that it was smooth sailing. Battery life is excellent - I use these about 8 hours a day, and I've only had a "battery low" beep twice in the past month. As long as I remember to connect the charger at the end of day 2, they'll last a full 2 days with no problem. Sound quality is what you'd expect from headphones playing back MP3s - acceptable. Volume range is good, although there is no Mute function (unless I missed that in the manual), so you can't turn the sound down completely. Controls are well placed and responsive. The forward/back buttons don't do anything on my iPhone 3G, but I suspect that's an issue with the iPhone 3G's implemenation of A2DP Bluetooth. Phone calls are easy to receive, and both incoming and outgoing audio are very good. I also paired these with my Dell XPS-M1530 for late night listening, and the process was just as easy as with the iPhone. The headphones are comfortable (although it takes some getting used to if you're used to earbuds or over-the-head phones). The weight is surprisingly tolerable, and the foam pads are okay. The headband isn't very springy, so you're relying on the over-the-ear hoop to hold them in place. I wouldn't recommend them for jogging or other exertion - they simply don't stay in place that well when you're moving around.
