I haul 3,000 5,000 lbs. 1996 ranger 5spd 3.0 4x4** A: These are rated for about a 1200 lb payload. If you are towing a properly loaded 5000 lb trailer they should be fine. I regularly towed a 4000 lb trailer with mine with no tail sag.
