There may be SOME bamboo, but they are very much hard plastic, which are the worst for children. Had I known this prior, I would not have purchased them and would have just gotten a child-friendly, renewable plastic set. My nephew dropped one of the bowls from a 1-year olds height, roughly 24". It didn't just crack, but shattered into extremely sharp pieces of hard plastic that could easily impale a child. This isn't a defective product, but poor design, made with ridiculous non-child-friendly hard plastic. Do not buy these if you value your children's safety. Eco-friendly or not, having shatterable dishware made of a material little better than plastic is not what children need. I'm embarrassed I even thought about purchasing such a product. ### ⭐ Not like the others *by H***1 on Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2020* I bought 3 different bamboo dishes- This pink set is NOT covered in a smooth material like the others. It is just a raw finish and makes it really weird to drink out of (almost like your lips are scratching or sticking against the material.... hard to explain). I am hand washing them and even running the dishcloth over them, it's not smooth and easy to clean like the others I have. Just wanted to put that out there. I wouldn't purchase this product again - but yes to the other brands. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Weird texture *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2019* Overall I like this dish set. They have sort of a weird texture, which is usually fine except that I personally can’t stand using the bowls.
