## Description

Product Description Trouble Board Game .com Trouble is a board game with a simple concept: Be the first player to send your four game pieces all the way around the board, moving spaces determined by rolls of the dice. The "trouble" of the title comes when an opponent's piece lands on a space occupied by your piece, thus sending yours back to the beginning. Parents will likely remember the game from their youth, or at least remember the game's signature gimmick, the pop-o-matic dice roller. The Pop-o-matic is a dome-shaped clear plastic housing for the dice in the center of the board game that automatically tumbles the dice when pressed down and released. This feature, plus the board's plastic slots that hold the game pieces in place, make Trouble a perfect travel game--car or boat motion won't upset the game's progress. It is indeed satisfying to press, slap, or pound the pop-o-matic. It's strong enough to withstand the frustration of the losing player(s). The game's simplicity makes it easy to jump into without elaborate explanations or practice games for new players, but it's utter lack of strategy will likely limit interest to just a few rounds. --Porter B. Pop-OH-Matic FUN!

*by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2006*

We bought this game with the intent to use when kids come to visit. HOWEVER, as we fondly remembered this game from our youth, we opened it right away and we play it ourselves near our pool or out on our front porch. We laugh as much as kids while we play! And we are (allegedly) sane people in our late 40s!My only gripe about this game is that the carton it came in (not shipping carton, the game carton Milton Bradley made) was so thin that it was partially crushed. Luckily the game inside was fin.The clear plastic game board has a printed carboard insert you install yourself that is very cheaply made. I suppose MB did this to cut corners but like so many things from my youth the craftmanship is now so different .Any matter, for the money it is a lot of fun and the pop cube is sturdy. If you buy this game, don't just save it for the kids, play it yourself!

Pay the extra for this higher quality Trouble game (not as flimsy as the cheaper one)

*by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2017*

This is as close to the "old" version of the Trouble game as you can get by purchasing new. It is heavier duty than the cheaper version. The little pegs are fully formed and not just partial making it more fun to play. It is hard to describe the ways in which this game board feels better than the newer, flimsier one currently for sale at most places. If you have played trouble with the older version of the game you expect a little bit of substance and weight to the game board. If that is the case I suggest that you buy this one and not the less expensive one which really has a cheaper fell to it. This one is nicer and sturdier. We play this as a family often and the slightly sturdier board just feels better to the touch.

    Fun Game

*by R***B on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2008*

The game is a fun to play, but my kids (6 and 3 years old) didn't quite get it. The board quality is pretty low (just a sheet of molded plastic over a piece of cardboard), and there is no place to hold the pieces besides the flimsy box the game comes in. I don't expect the pieces to stay with the board very long, and will probably have to use a ziploc or something to keep it all together. The game itself is fun. My 3 year old could push down the popper herself with some effort, and that was her favorite part of the game. I agree with others that younger kids will get frustrated not rolling a 6 to get a piece out of home. I allowed them 2-3 pops to give them a chance to play. The game is more fun with more people, but that also increases the chance of sending someone back to start. We tried to make it fun, but the kids weren't real happy about getting sent back after so much time trying to get out.I'd recommend it to others, but would think it more fun for 7-12 years old or so.
