Tested with my recent purchased Kill-A-Watt, True 9w as advertised, while many other brands are dishonest on this number, I think it's related to the real brightness of the bulb. The light color is very comfortable.Cons:It's not for you if you are looking fo something to work with a dimmer.Overall:What I really love is the brightness of this bulb! The build quality seems good, but I will see how long will it last.Just find out they got a 4 bulbs value pack that can save $1 more per bulb, will definitely buy more! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Savings using these Led bulbs so far *by P***U on Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2014* This thing is a lot brighter than i expected, you can check the pictures i uploaded of this vs a Feit Electric 23w Fluorescent bulb.Aside from the temperature difference you can see that this one delivers the same or even more light were it matters, since this has a beam angle of around 160 degrees, so it will depend on your use, but for ceiling lights it is great, at their nominal wattages you would be using only 39% off the energy compared to Fluorescent and 9% compared to incandescent.I measured this with a Kill-a-watt and it was using 8.8w (not sure how accurate that is) and the Feit Electric fluctuated a lot but most of the time stayed around 25.5w so in my case i may be saving even more.4/7/2014 Update: After a few more comparisons i noticed that the lower CRI of this is noticeably lower than other standard LED or CFL light bulbs, so i would only recommend these for places were the quality of color is not that important, i will be using them on exteriors and see how much they last. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good LEDs *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2014* I've been using other LED lights like the Viribright 30 for can lights and a HitLight in the same range as these PacLights. I like the white color of the PacLights which are close to the Viribright lights which I use in my home workshop, but not with a slight blue shift that I notice in the HitLight (due to it being a lower color temperature). The CRI of these, and I haven't taken a direct measurement, seems a bit less than a couple of Westinghouse T8 18" lights I use in a task light. My use of these are in an overhead 3 bulb fixture in the kitchen and in a table lamp in another room.Used as direct replacements for 60 watt incandescent bulbs, these give out more light at a higher color temperature and do a good job of diffusing through their upper globe which is important as the fixture lost its diffuser some years ago. These are on/off fixtures (not dimming) and the performance is up to par with incandescent for on/off cycle time. The overhead fixture has been a bulb killer for CFLs and incandescent bulbs, and I'm suspecting it is a heat problem with them. Since LEDs use much less energy and give off less waste heat per apparent watt output, their heat build-up should be miniscule. Additionally that one in the kitchen is a high on/off cycle fixture and only time will tell if the circuitry can take that abuse.In all the only downside is that the white light isn't exactly what I get from those Westinghouse fluorescent tubes, but then the application isn't one where color rendition is critical. The light is not harsh when moderated by being overhead or behind a shade, and only somewhat harsh if you stare directly at them. With that said it is good for general lighting in a generally dimly lit room and reading by a table lamp with this bulb on a sofa it causes a bit of eyestrain.PROsPlenty bright enough to replace 60w incandescent bulbs, easilyDiffuse light when in a ceiling or shielded fixture and, really, who stares at a bare bulb?Low heat output, much needed for the one fixtureCONsBy itself in a dim room not a great choice for a reading lampCost is a bit high, but if lifetime is anywhere near what is possible, worth itNot the highest possible CRI you can find, and that is important only if your task demands itIn all these are great lights and I will just have to wait and see how well they fare. After a month they have outlasted the death rate of new CFLs in the one fixture, so they are already doing better than them. Would recommend to those needing general lighting that is diffuse white and only good for reading when ganged up or if it is unmoderated by a shade or diffuser.[UPDATE 1 Year of use] Still going strong, bright and just what is necessary for the kitchen fixture.
