I gave him one from my kitchen, only to find that he had gotten the last one I had! I went looking at the grocery store & since it is not the holiday season - I COULDN'T FIND A SINGLE ONE! After checking another grocery store, I thought "this is crazy". This was one of the lowest price ones offered through Amazon, so I ordered two. It's nothing special, but nothing terrible either. A baster is a baster, is a baster. Eventually, I either lose one part or the other, or the bulb gets a bit of "dry-rot" around where the two pieces snap together. So, I figured at the price of this one, if it lasts only a few years, it is worth the money. I gave it four stars only because it is nothing special. Somewhere, I think I have a stainless steel baster, that came with a specially shaped brush. That would have gotten five stars; but then, it was probably twice the price or more! There was nothing I wanted to know about this item before purchase.
