Effective, but not 100%. *by E***R on December 5, 2019* I used this product to keep a great heron and other sea birds off a dock on the San Francisco Bay who are continually bringing different mollusks and other sea shells, eating whats inside them and leaving a mess on the dock. While this product has not been 100% effective, it has cut down by about half the amount of messes that are left. It is fairly easy to install but make sure you anchor them well on whatever your using. I first used the included white hooks anchored under the upper deck floor joists. Under heavy storms the units blew off the hooks. On my second attempt I "zip-tied" the units to the white hooks and they seem to be staying anchored better.
