The automatic on/off feature is priceless and works incredibly well, especially if you’re using this to collect and move rain water that is unpredictable. It requires almost nothing to setup, and I can leave the house now or go out of town and know that this will provide coverage when we get heavy rains, which are so common now. I can also move it to other problem areas very easily during a rain event or depending on where my issue is. I’m close to buying another so I don’t need to move them around. Also, the casing on my pump cracked after a few uses, which was caused by damage during the shipping process. After reaching out to the manufacturer, I was contacted literally within minutes, and received a replacement pump with no question and no distraction. This is all you can ask for as these things do happen from time to time. Overall this pump works incredibly well, and only wish I would have bought it much sooner as it’s a game changer for my yard/basement issues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars marvelous little pump, so far *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2019* I was researching automatic utility pumps to move water off a mostly flat basement floor. The description of this pump sounded exactly like what I was looking for but had little history and only 1 review. I decided to take a chance anyway and I'm glad I did. I don't understand the mechanics of how it works, but it does. It senses water at a very low level, turns the pump on,pumps the water to the drain and then automaticly shuts off. It somehow, self primes and when the sensors sense water again, it turns back on. I did have to add a back flow check valve so that it didn't cycle itself too frequently but that solved the problem. I don't have a way to add a sump basin and sump pump to this area of the basement and so far this little pump works great. I've only had it a couple of months, so I can't speak to longevity, but it seems well made. The flooding of this area of our basement is only a 3 or 4 times a year problem when the really big rains come, but so far, so good. Pump worked well for the first couple of weeks, then it started acting up. Most of the times I'd have to go out in the rain to lift the pump out of the water, place it back - do this a few times until it would start working on its own. I checked and cleaned the pump numerous times - still - it worked whenever it felt like it. NOW, the newest issue is that it is always ON - it does not stop working even if it's bone-dry....
