All round decent keyboard.
I've had this keyboard for about a month so far. Looks good, has cool backlight options. Seems sturdy enough. Three issues keep me from giving this 5 stars though. The first issue: I realized the cord wasn't going to be long enough to reach my computer, so I bought a usb extension cord. The keyboard will work . . . sometimes, and then will just stop working completely. So make sure the cord will reach your computer. The second issue is actually quite annoying sometimes. I will be typing and the last letter I push will randomly start repeating. Sometimes it happens a lot. As I've written this review it has happened 5 or 6 times. The more you type the more it will happen. I know this marketed as a gaming keyboard, but if you plan on doing any more than a modest amount of typing then don't buy this keyboard. The third issue is also related to typing: The enter key is half the width on this keyboard. This problem can be overcome through practice, but it is super annoying at first. I would keep hitting the \ key over and over again, but now I'm used to it. TL/DR: If you type a lot, don't buy this keyboard. If you mostly just game and light web browsing, it's a cool keyboard. UPDATE: Seller reached out to me to replace my keyboard. Got the keyboard two weeks ago and finally got it plugged in a few days ago. Sticky key issues seem to be resolved, no issues so far. I would do 4.5 stars if I could because of the half width enter key, but other than that it's a decent keyboard, so 5 stars.

Great value for the price!
I absolutely adore my Redragon keyboard. It's super well priced for all the features it has. This is not a mechanical keyboard, but it is still a very very good keyboard. The keys are really responsive and click really well with a nice tactile feedback you can really feel! It's not the quietest keyboard but it isn't obnoxiously loud either. I get compliments on the look and feel of it all the time. There is a knob used to change the LED color, and while it would be better to have each key lit individually, the leds in this keyboard do really really well at lighting everything up. For this price point it's about the best you can get in my opinion. I do like how you don't have to have any special software for this keyboard to use all of its features, everything is physical so it's just a plug and play keyboard. Very good as a first gaming keyboard for sure. The color combination and style of this thing are both superb. The build quality is great for the price but it is an all plastic design. It's lightweight and has little 'feet' on the bottom that fold out so you can get that slight angle of elevation for comfortable typing. And it features a braided cord for durability and anti-tangle. I use mine in conjunction with this matching mouse, also made by Redragon: Redragon M801 Mammoth 16400 DPI Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse for PC, 9 Programmable Buttons, 5 User Profiles, Weight Tuning, Omron Switches, Black Overall, for the price I give it 5 stars. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a really good gaming keyboard on a budget! If you have any questions about this product, feel free to ask me and I will answer to the best of my knowledge! And if this review was helpful to you, please consider leaving a positive rating!

Cheap is cheap.
Pros : Soft, quiet keys Cool red dragon design matches nicely with my MSI gaming rig Stiff, braided cord with velcro wrap to tighten up the slack Cheap Cons : Some of the keys are only half lit The best, and most important features are confusing to utilize The manual is poorly translated W A S D somehow got switched with the arrow keys. And because of the poorly translated manual, I couldn't get it to switch back. I had to unplug and plug it back in to reset it. Setting up the "G" keys can be a major pain. Especially if something goes wrong and you have to start all over. yuck Website is super slow and glitchy. As far as I can tell, there is no software to accompany this keyboard. Overall: Decent gaming KB if you're on a tight budget. Serious gamers use KB's like this to wipe.

Some drawbacks, but overall a good budget keyboard (Read full review)
**THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE ASURA K501 KEYBOARD** I'm writing this because the majority of the reviews listed were for the S101 keyboard and I didn't see too many for the Asura, so here we go. NOTE: IF YOUR KEYBOARD OR MOUSE LIGHTS STAY ON WHEN YOU TURN YOUR PC OFF, IT IS **NOT** A PROBLEM WITH THE KB/M. GO INTO YOUR BIOS SETTINGS AND LOOK INTO YOUR POWER OPTIONS. Every motherboard is different so I can't tell you what option it is, but basically, your PC keeps USB ports powered to charge phones and stuff, so just turn that behavior off and then you won't have the lighting problem anymore. I don't see why people would say bad things about keyboards or mice because this happens to them, when it is a BIOS problem. THE REVIEW: I took a gamble on this keyboard after being EXTREMELY pleased with the Redragon Centrophorus mouse. Unfortunately, the keyboard is not perfect like the mouse is, but in my opinion, it is really decent. You need to figure out what you want in a keyboard before you consider buying this one. At the price point ($35 when i got mine), it is mostly a good keyboard. It took me a few days to get used to this keyboard, but this happens when you change out anything that you use basically daily. I didn't like the feel of the key presses at first, but after using the keyboard for a week or so now, I am actually a fan of the "squishiness" of them; while you certainly won't get mechanical switches on a keyboard this cheap, if you don't care about mechanical switches, all the better. I don't particularly care about them, as I mash the keys pretty solidly when I type, so I don't really fret about having a tactile response to let me know when I've pressed it. I will talk about some of the drawbacks, neutral points, and positives to the keyboard, with the negative first. DRAWBACKS: Key quality: See attached picture. When I first used this keyboard, the Enter and Right Shift keys were super sticky, and after pressing them, would remain stuck down. I was on the verge of returning it but I mashed the Enter key a ton of times and got it not to stick anymore. It works normally now. The Right Shift key still sticks badly, but I never use right shift so I can honestly deal with that. If it gets annoying, I'm sure I could file down one of the key cap's sides to prevent it from happening, but again, I can deal with it. If you pick up one of these, test all your keys to see if you have any issues. THE NEUTRALS: Key cap shapes: The Enter key is not really conventionally shaped; look at the product image. It is fine after you get used to it, but if you used a two-wide or full L-shaped enter key before, be ready to make some mistakes when you use the keys around it. Build quality: you get what you pay for. The keyboard is plastic all around, but personally I have no problem with it; I like the black and red look as it fits with the rest of my build. If build quality is important to you in a keyboard, look elsewhere. This definitely doesn't have the same great build quality for the price that the Centrophorus mouse does, but if you don't mind that, you'll be fine. THE POSITIVES: Gaming performance: I've encountered no problems; I ran a key ghosting test using Microsoft's ghosting demo and was able to press all these keys at once with no problems: LeftCtrl, Shift, Capslock, Tab, Q W E R T Y A S D F Z X C V Space. So you will almost certainly have no issues with key ghosting during gaming, which is excellent for the price point you can get this keyboard at. LED options: I really like the option to change LED colors and brightness, and I use this feature plenty. The lights look really great in low lighting situations. There is also a "breathing" option you can enable using key presses that slowly cycles through all the colors while fading in and out. It also looks pretty cool. Macro features: The macro features are useful. I've only used them a little bit, and you do have to read the instructions to understand how to use them. I doubt anyone could figure out how to program the macros on this on your own. Keep the manual! CONCLUSION: That's pretty much it. I like everything else about the keyboard, and if it keeps working for about a year, I will almost certainly pick up another Redragon keyboard in the future. I'm pretty happy overall with it, despite the small flaws. I rated the keyboard 4/5 stars because it has some small tradeoffs and drawbacks, but is still quite good. Overall, I'm happy with it, and will keep using it until it breaks, which hopefully won't be for a long while. Thanks for reading!

Best Keyboard Yet
Over this past year, I've found myself looking for a new gaming keyboard. I had a Logitech G105 and liked the hot-button features of it, but I did not like the feel of the keyboard. I had most recently been using an inexpensive $20 keyboard. Having tried out some $100 or better keyboards, they just didn't feel worth the money. I finally decided to give this a try because it had good reviews and the features I wanted. PROS - Backlighting is very customizable with many colors and intensity of brightness - Hot Keys are easy to configure and work exactly as expected - Keyboard feels sturdy and is nice to type on CONS - Keys feel a little squishy, you most definitely do not get the satisfaction of a mechanical feel with this keyboard I would buy this over a Logitech G105 and save some money. Same capability, better price, better feel.

5 month lifespan, then junk
UPDATE: I've owned this keyboard for just about five months. As of today while playing SWTOR, the backlight and all related functions simply blinked and turned off, and now no longer work. Nothing I can do seems to make a difference. It just simply crapped out for no reason. Worse, it's beyond any kind of return/warranty policy, even though it's less than a year old. Overall, it's a very very disappointing situation, and I won't be buying from this seller or manufacturer again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL: Very nice. All the macros, lights, and customization I could ask for. Works awesome for all the games I play. Once you get used to the enter key, you can even type on it. It has the same tactile feedback of a mechanical keyboard, which is nice. As it stands, it's 4.5 stars. If it had software to further customize the keys, it'd be a full 5 stars.

best keyboard for the price and is better than most.
Final Update: after more than a year using this i have to say you get what you pay for and not in a good way! -This keyboard has horrible ghosting issues that are annoying where some days typing comments or reviews becomes a nightmare. If you ur going to use this to type papers and such stay away! - the backlighting over time becomes a major issue where there are days that it turns off and wont come back on for hours or even days, The intensity level also goes crazy and very impractical. -if Your solely using this for basic gaming and no typing its fine but if ur looking for office, school or casual gaming usage i would say save up and get a corsair k70 Lux which is what im going to do next month. - some keys do still get stuck but not as bad as when new. -I hope redragon can make products as high (or higher) as corsair someday and less expensive because i do Like the company and am rooting for them but until then I would say be careful what u purchase. The durability so far is questionable at best and reliability is very random with the ghosting issues and lighting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update: after over a week I have noticed a couple issues that are annoying while gaming. 1)the 0 num key gets super hard to press down and messes up attacks. 2)i have noticed it sometimes doesn't register some of the key strokes instantly or it doesn't respond. *its still a good keyboard they just need to fix some issues that prevent it from being the best._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ this is my 2nd day with the key board and i, glad i purchased it. pros: - i love the multiple colors that you can have as your back light. - awesome led around the keyboard including the dragon logo - the key are way easier to press down then my standard microsoft or logitech keyboard and are less noisy. - Doesn't feel cheap or too light as i thought it might feel. - have not had any typing, ghosting, stuck keys, repeating words or letters, nor any response issues with this keyboard as of yet which was one of the most worrisome elements i was fearing when purchasing it. - led lights are bright and you can see the the letters/ characters even with the led turned off -seems very durable love the threaded cable and gold plated usb matches my redragon perdition gaming mouse besides the led logo and color scheme cons: - the backspace key on mine squeaks ( not a huge deal but kind of annoying} -no dedicated media buttons nor a volume knob like the led intensity knob ( this i view to be such a basic set up but it seems most keyboard companies do not get it) - on my keyboard the led on some keys doesnt show as bright as the rest specifically the w, or it just shows partiallly on some like the shift ctrl, tab, backspace, caplocks, backspace, insert, and delete. - the keyboard plastic is nice and glossy but susceptible to fingerprints - odd positioning of macro keys i mean i dont think gaming wise they would be any good but they look nice and i guess you can use them to do other things just not gaming. -no program software, i mean im not sure why but my mouse came with software dunno why they didnt do it on the keyboard.

Nice features and no software!
Great keyboard, much better than what you'd expect at this price range. Things I like about it after about 2 weeks of use: - Keys feel nice and solid typing, but not too much noise either. - Standard layout: I'm a touch typist and didn't have trouble adjusting, it's a standard layout with the extras on the outside of the keyboard. - Lighting: I love the lighting functions, plenty of colors to pick from, the green is a decent match for the Razer Orbweaver if anyone else has one. The dedicated light buttons make it easy if you forget or lose the manual. - Macro Keys: The 8 keys aren't software controlled, you program the keys right on the keyboard. This means if I use a virtual machine the shortcuts I set still work. Same with moving the keyboard from one system to another. - Games: I work and play at the computer, keyboard works great for both. All keystrokes registered so far while playing. I haven't used the function to disable to Windows key or swap the WASD and arrow keys much, but I did test them when I first got the keyboard and they worked just fine. I go through cheap keyboards quick sometimes, I'll report back if this one is still working later.
