These are delicious. They came early which was a treat and I love their food. I wish more grocery stores carried it but I am grateful to have the opportunity to buy it here.

Great taste and gluten free

I liked these cake snacks. Different than what one would expect almost disheartening at first. However after eating a variety of cakes, rolls vanilla and chocolate, one gets to understand that different isn't so bad. It actually has a lumpy homemade cake texture which is unexpected and grows on one. Tastes less manufactured because of the texture, but the flavor is minimal and so is the cream filling. A little more vanilla and another squirt of cream and id almost prefer them.

Reviewing the horror stories in the review section I can sympathize with those who treated these like the classic 'Twinkies' and Hostess 'Cupcakes' that they are clearly modeled after (but for those with wheat/gluten sensitivity). Unfortunately, while this is clearly not 'health food' it is not fully fledged junk food either. The old joke goes that Twinkies are so 'unnatural' that they never go bad (it's not true, but "everybody knows" that). Having dealt with gluten free alternatives to popular (mostly junk food and deserts) I knew that they should be frozen right away. The packaged I got was already thawed out, and since I didn't plan to eat 20 snacks (two decades ago you could have dared me to, if this product had existed) I immediately put them into the freezer. Whenever I want on, I pop it out of the freezer and put it on the counter top for an hour or so and unwrap, eat, and it tastes just as wonderful as I remember. I will say that the taste of the 'vanilla' cakes.. the twinkie ripoffs (Twinky's or however you want to spell it are meant to be angel food cake with whipped cream filling, but they taste a little different, a very artificial taste that's hard to describe) are superior. When I was a kid and didn't know any better, I preferred these to the "chocolate" ones that always had a slightly off taste like really cheap baked goods (I was spoiled by homemade chocolate cake, brownies, etc). So it may be 'close enough.' The only one I didn't remember from the past was the 'vanilla' cupcake with the lemon filling (predictably self indulgent). You will pay a premium price for these, but for the memories, priceless... Definitely not health food, but as long as you don't let them spoil, you'll appreciate what you've been missing on special occasion(s). And brush your teeth...!

Be aware-these are advertised as frozen but not delivered with a cold pack or any form of insulation. They were fully thawed , I put them in the freezer and have no idea if the quality will be affected. Good products in general, but am disappointed as I ordered hoping for frozen.

Delicious individually packaged cupcakes. Hope they make butterscotch someday.

Absolutely disgusting. No taste. Wish I didn’t order them. Not a fan of any of these treats. Not worth the money.
