Gorgeous boots for an excellent value.
Love these boots! Steve Madden never disappoints. They are such a great value for genuine leather. They look so sharp and the side zipper makes them so quick and easy to get in and out of. True to size. Water repellent. They aren’t waterproof (standing and walking in 7” of snow) but with a spray treatment, I’m sure they could be. They are getting softer and better! I love them!!!

Best Boots. Don’t hesitate. Just buy them and you will love them like I have for over a decade.
My daughter introduced me to these boots over 10 years ago. They are 100% leather and so soft and comfortable. Everywhere I go I get compliments when I wear them. If you take care of them they will last. Even as they age, the leather gives them the perfect look. I am so pleased that Steve Madden has continued this style just as they are and have done. I love the leather instead of the PU like other boots have changed to. This style is known as their signature boot. I am broken-hearted I did not get the gray and the maroon pair before they sold out in size 10. I hope they restock these soon before next fall. I also wish they would bring back the navy color and maybe even a lighter brown one too. They will sell well, especially the navy ones, which are very hard to find in any other brand. Many of their boots have large bulky soles and heels, which I do not like. This boot is more stylish and versatile since you can dress them up or down depending on what you are wearing. I also wish the shoestrings were just a little bit longer, but I work around that. I just don’t lace them to the top holes and I tie them lower and you can’t even tell. Some people actually leave more holes this way and bend down the inside for a different look. I have had boots that the shoestrings easily broke. These do not do that. They also are very supportive for your ankles and that is a plus. I just love them and I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed and they will become your favorite boots too.

Gorgeous!
When I ordered these I wasn't completely sure they were real leather, I had bad experiences with products that says leather in the description and they're synthetic material, but I had a great surprise to find out these were in fact leather, they well made and had the Steven Madden logo on the sole and inside, the upper is leather with synthetic lining and oh boy they smell like leather! The color appear to be a bit darker than the photos which is perfect for me because I wanted the black ones but by reading reviews from other people on the black version I was scared I was going to get a fake pair, I really don't understand why they're had that problem ordering the same product, perhaps when they select color and size it changed to a different vendor than Amazon or not full filled by Amazon and received a bad pair, I was prepared to return it if they were not leather and honestly had very low expectations, but I can tell you what I received was as described and as it looks on the photos, it looks good quality, but I will update the review as I wear them and test the quality, specially of the zippers, they feel rather fragile, but I could be wrong about that, time will tell. I read several reviews about the heels breaking, so I will be checking on that too, the fit was perfect it doesn't run small or large, they're kinda narrow, so if you have wide feet it could be a bit tight, in my case I have skinny feet and I am size 5 and they fit good.

Lasted three years! I love them!
I’ve lived in these boots for three years before I wore through the heels. I’ve worn them 3/4 of the year for three years (2 years in Michigan and 1 year in Seattle). My feet stayed dry no matter the weather and puddles. I’m typically a size 6-6.5 in sneakers but a size 7 in these boots. They are narrow and hug my feet, but over time they do stretch out and mold to your feet. After a little bit of time, I added Roo Runs 3/4 orthopedic inserts to support my high arches, which lasted two years. I LOVE THESE BOOTS. As somehow who had only bought $40 boots before (that would only last 6 months), these $80 boots are well worth the price (lasting me 3 years). I just rebought these boots and the Roo Run inserts. The inserts won’t fit until I break the boots in. The boots are stiff at first but will break in beautifully. (Photos attached of new pair and old pair) I’ve worn thin cotton boot socks mostly with these and have stayed warm. In the winter, I have worn thin wool socks to stay warm as well. But typically, my feet stay toasty in the boots and require daily sock changes from being a little sweaty, but I do walk long distances in them. I’ve never had a problem with the zippers. The laces have lasted the three years as well. I love these boots and will be repurchasing them again in another three years. Clearly, they are rave worthy. And the price today is the same as it was three years ago when I bought them initially!

Comfortable and very stylish!
Very comfortable from my first wear. So appreciate that they are 100% leather. They look super classy. I have an ongoing challenge with my Achilles tendon and was advised to wear laced boots. These work wonderfully because of the fit also that they are so stylish. I want to order another color but my size is out of stock. I plan to keep checking!

I really like this boots. I bought my daughter a pair and she wore until they wore out, she loved them. So I bought a pair for myself There was no breaking in time they are comfortable. Not thick leather but what do you expect for the price. I wear a 9.5 always and they for perfect.

QC Issues, Complete Disappointment
When I first got these shoes, they were the wrong size. I'm actually glad I got these first, because they were of good quality, and allowed me to differentiate the boots I received later, which were very poorly made. The ones I got first (the good ones), had even soles, precisely cut leather, even stitching, and leather that felt substantial. The replacement I got was anything but. The soles were bumpy, and the rubber was cut very crudely such that there were many splinters along the sole (this is NOT acceptable given the price of these boots). The leather and stitching was a joke. I couldn't find any area on the shoe where the stitching was parallel to the edge of the leather for more than an inch. The leather wasn't positioned well either, and it'd bunch up at the sides even when not worn. I've read somewhere that Steve Madden shoes are supposed to be made in China, but the replacements I received (I actually returned these TWICE hoping my first replacement was a dud) were all made in Mexico. My best guess is that Steve Madden has been sourcing from different factories, and some of these places have ZERO quality control. There were also areas on the boot where a bunch of stitching overlaps, and I could see little brown beads at the ends of the threads where the factory worker likely burned with a match. Again, NOT OK. If you're going to charge $100 for these boots, you better make sure the thread ends are tied properly. Or if you're going to cheap out at least don't make it so blatantly obvious. I have fake leather boots I've gotten for way cheaper and even they haven't stooped so low. Another funny thing. If you look up these same shoes on endless, the most recent reviews complain about their complete lack of quality too, so I know this problem isn't just limited to Amazon. Bottom line, Steve Madden is CHEAP. Not cheap in price, ironically, but when it comes to material and labor, you bet they're cutting costs any way they can. Appalling quality, both in material and workmanship. Never buying from this brand again.
