I wanted to feed my chickens, turkeys and goats just a little extra protein to keep them fit and healthy while the goats are pregnant over the winter and the chickens and turkeys are getting ready for breeding season. Sprouts seemed like a good idea but everytime I tried to sprout regular beans they would go bad before the sprouts were big enough to interest the poultry. So I saw that the ones I was eating out of can were grown from mung beans. Never heard of them before but thought I'd give it a try. The beans took longer to get here than I would have liked (almost two weeks) but that just tells me the time frame I need before I order more. And the beans!!!! Oh my goodness, you'll get 100% germination and sprouts that are easily eaten and really quite yummy in just three days. I need to get a bigger growing apparatus so that I can make more at one time. The chickens, turkeys, goats and even my pregnant cow LOVE the sprouts. I've found the extra source of protein I needed. Thanks so much.

High quality mung bean seeds for sprouting or growing. I have about 99% sprouting success. They come in a nice container for easy measuring. I haven't found any splits in the half can I've already used.

my only problem is i found out i dont like mung bean sprouts lol! so y did i order a pound? idk, i was getting sprouts to try and i was clicking all over the place. love the tiny sprouts like alfalfa theyre so versatile, just not these, they retain too much water for my liking--think i will juice em or something.

I decided to add sprouts to my diet for the health benefits. I bought mung beans as they are the most recognizable to me and we eat a lot of stir fry and things that they will be easy to add to. These were super easy to sprout and taste just like they are supposed to. Since we are eating the sprouts themselves it seems like a no brainer that they should be organic.

After looking for bean sprouts for Egg Foo Yung (something quick, easy, and nutritious), I looked to see what was available beyond canned. I purchased these along with the sprouter and enjoyed a nice meal of Egg Foo Yung........the first time in several years. I learned to use less seeds than I first thought....about a Tablespoon...since they expand, of course. All in all, it was easy and tasty.

I stored these sprouts in a cool dark place and tried to sprout them under the same conditions as other sprouts. The other sprouts did great. These look sick, most of the seeds do not grow any sprouts at all. I guess I got a bad batch. Others have noted getting a bad batch of these sprouts too.

I like Bean & Alfalfa sprouts on my salads and sandwiches in place of lettuce, for a change now and then. This is my first time growing my own. First lesson I learned, don't cover the whole tray with seeds. Give them a little space or you end up with a thick crop of skinny sprouts. was fun watching how FAST they grew each day.

All of the beans sprouted and tasted very good.
