We cook A LOT at our house, and we tend to like things spicy. As a result, we go through a lot of crushed pepper. This has been my go-to brand for a few years now. I originally purchased these due to the price. I have continued to purchase them because of the great flavor and quality of the product. They are very fresh as the colors are still quite vibrant when you receive them. I think the heat level is perfect. Use a lot of these and they will burn you up but use a little to just add that little kick. Overall, this is an amazing product at a great price.

Alright, so here's the thing... the spice itself, the pepper, is fantastic. Great heat level you'd expect, great aroma, great taste, great quality overall. No issues of molding, fungus, clumping, nothing like that, it's all grand. HOWEVER. I want to know which gentleman in QC or higher up, whomever made this decision, chose to put a shaker lid on these things and expected it to work out. Listen... I don't wanna have to shake it five times just to get three flakes and half a seed out, you know? It's not the most efficient method to adding spice. A shaker cap would be FINE if the holes were the right size, but they're not. Is the product itself good? Yes, it's awesome, I use it all of the time and it's delicious. Is the shaker cap useful? Nooooo. You can see in the pics what I mean. I hope I'm the only one who experienced this. It's obviously not a big deal, I can just use the pour side of the cap and it works just fine. I just... don't understand lol

The peppers are good tasting and complex flavors. Interesting quirk: The top of the container has a side with shaker holes, and other side allows a measuring spoon---the side with the shaker holes has holes too small for the flakes. Interesting design flaw.

I am a crushed red pepper freak. I eat it on everything to give food a nice zing. It is hot, but not too hot unless you pour it on. I love the taste - the 12 ounce container is just the right size for my needs and will last me several months.
