Clive Barker's Jericho - Playstation 3

I heard about thus game some time ago but never got around to playing it, then one day I was browsing the psn store for something fun to pass the time during a gaming new release lull when suddenly the name of this game popped into my head, so searched for it there but it wasn't om there. I looked it up and ordered it here the price was low so I figured I was going to be disappointed and I must say I was quite surprised ay how much I enjoyed it I thought it was a great survival horror game i found the story compelling and the game play in my opinion was just as good or even better as some of the ps3 games now I like the fact that you could switch to any character on the squad at will and that they all had different powers and weapons (Delgado being my favorite)

Just a first person horror shooter. But that is ok. It had its scary moments but wasn't filled with them. It was interesting being able to play each of the members of your team and having to think about which one you should be playing in order to succeed in certain parts. I didn't mind not having to worry about picking up stuff. Sometimes, riding a rail is ok if the story is decent. Sometimes, you don't feel like playing a game where your OCD side feels it needs to look down every corridor and under every rock for every single little thing the designers hid in the game. Sometimes, you just want to work your way through a story slaying everything in your path. It was modestly short but I have played shorter. For the price you can get it for these days, it was worth it.

I picked this up for my son years ago, and because Clive Barker's name alone I was attached to it. Now playing it seems a bit nostalgic- not as fluid or long as I would have wished, but I'm not a gamer, so I enjoy it for what it is- four characters to change during gameplay. not an endless barrage of zombies without purpose, and better storyline than the more familiar horror titles.

I got this game after reading a book by Clive Barker, Coldheart Canyon. The book is by far better than the game. The game itself goes by very quick and provides little replay value. However, if you can get it for cheap or aren't concerned about cost and just looking for something to fill your time for a day or two, get it. The dynamics of the game are quite unique, interesting, and refreshing compared to any games I can think of (being a spirit, changing characters by possessing them). But, as said, the game is short lived and the story nor the originality seem to make up for this.

It's fun, fast paced, and looks realistic. It's first person shooting and worth every penny. And I'm a girl! I enjoy it- it kept me on my toes for a long period of time.

I really enjoyed going through the twisted psyche of this game even if it had some gameplay and control issues. The team-play kind of sucked with me spending half the time reviving team mates and running into sections that were almost impossible (it's only fun so much having to carefully sneak snipe shots at enemies coaxed out one at a time and then running for your life). The control could have been better, as a lot of the time I had to move the joystick just right to shift from strafing to moving up/down/left/right, it's not normal and very cumbersome. Also the weapons system seems over-complicated though I do like variety I found I just ended up using the same weapon attacks over and over instead of using more variety. There seems to be problems with balance and control in this game but the plot is cool, different, and very dark though it came off like a comic book or cheesy video game sometimes. The monsters and settings are the best part though as they are twisted and frightening as any Clive Barker novel or movie.

This game had the potential to be a great. The story line is good enough to keep you entertained for the 10+ hours of gameplay (game time depends on difficulty level). Here's why I believe this game is so and so: > Firstly, in the character switch menu, team members are identified by their last name whereas in game story uses thee first name. I was wondering who the hoot is Abby or Simone. > This game can be summarized as mindless shooting. No tactical approach at all. You will get hit. So shoot and shoot and shoot. The only challenge is getting head shot I suppose since that guarantees one shot kill. > Controlling your squad is a chore. Less would be more in this game. Less characters in your squad and better control of those individuals like GHOST RECON FUTURE SOLDIER did it. > Enemy/Boss weakness are not that evident. There is no real indication that you are doing damage either. I had to look up guides five times to progress with the story line. > Final boss is a joke. Nothing worthwhile or amazing. > This game is pretty much walk to an area and shoot shoot shoot, and move to the next area and shoot some more. > No replay value at all. Had this game came out for PC in 2000, it would have been amazing for the time. This was more like lets make a quick buck. In 2021, if you havent played this, you are not missing anything. Finally, to unlock extra content, the fools wanted you to pay buy calling a number to get a code. They had a website but it is nonworking at this time. Superb business practices.

クライブバーカーだから、ただ、グロだけかと思っていましたが、 なんと、このゲームは予想を遥かに超えて、面白いです！！ しかも思ったよりグロくない。むしろ美しいかも。 はっきり言って、KILLZONE2よりずっと面白いです！！ グラフィックは１級だし、 バトルも＜銃＞だけではなく、 ＜超能力＞をプラスして戦うスタイルで充実してます。 また、チームでしっかり助け合いながら進むのが、 グロの世界を進んで行くときに心強くてなんともいいです！ 英語ですが、あまり内容がわからなくても問題ありません。 はじめたばかりの時は、＜チームの使い方＞や＜超能力＞の使い方に 戸惑うかもしれませんが、 まあ、このへんはどのゲームも同じで、 しばらくやってれば、慣れてきます。 youtubeで、ゲームプレイを参考にするのもいいと思います。 ゲームの価格も、こんな安くていいのか！って感じですよね。 実は、私もこの安さなので、試しに買って見たのですが、 ＜デモンズソウル＞並みにはまってしまってます！ デモンズソウル＞デッドスペース＞このゲーム＞オブリビオン＞アンチャーテッド 自分的にはこんな感じです。 絶対買って損はないと思います！ 超おすすめです！

I like this game. It's taking me a while to get into it but I'm getting there.

ストーリーはさっぱり分からなかったですが、全編英語なのを含めた世界観にハマりました。 綺麗さで言えばFFとかより劣るんだろうけど、よっぽど魅力的なゲーム観が出てます。 自分はシューティングには自信無かったんですがeasyでなんとかクリアしました。操作キャラによって戦況が変わるのが楽しいです。 最後に、疑問だったのがパッケージにもなりプロモにもなってる敵キャラが出てきませんでした。てっきりラスボスかと思ってたのに…easyだからだろうか。
