Smashbox Original Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer 0.41 oz

I started using this product over a year ago after getting a sample. I absolutely love it. It is clear, not a foundation or concealer but a foundation primer. It is hard to describe but it is silky smooth and goes on evenly with perfection. It is a little slick but not oily. Foundation looks incredible over this product. Without it, my foundation looks cakey, thick, uneven, and doesn't fill my pores. With this product, my face looks fresher, younger, and more beautiful. I will not go without this product, ever.

About a year ago, I had the worst acne breakout of my life. I was left with hyper-pigmentation that I did not think was ever going to go away. I almost never leave the house without makeup, so I had to find products that I could still wear while tying to recover my skin. I spent weeks researching products that contained ingredients (ingredients that I also spent a long time researching) that I felt would help my skin. I think my breakout was largely due to stress, but for reference, I have both dry and oily skin. It goes back and forth, probably due to many factors (weather, environment, water intake, stress). Since it was a year ago, the information as to why I chose certain ingredients is not fresh in my mind. So I can't remember all of the factors that led me to choose this specific primer, but I keep going back to it. Whenever I run out, I have to order this online since it is not in a store near me. It takes about 2 weeks to get to me (I live overseas), so I end up having to use a different primer while waiting for this one (I'm lazy and wait til the last second to order it). It seems like my skin never reacts well to other primers, but as soon as I start using this one again, the breakouts subside. I very rarely have breakouts now, and that's after using a number of new products. But since I wear makeup almost everyday, the makeup products I use play a huge part in whether or not I have breakouts, and this one does not seem to cause any. Plus my husband touched my face the other day and said it's so smooth, haha.

Good product, but don't expect miracles. It evens out what's already there but it won't mask anything per se. Good foundation for a bit of concealer. Worth a try if you're a guy and don't want to wear anything that looks like makeup but are still interested in a bit of improvement. I have a lot of little red spots, big pores, and other problem areas and this does subtly help. I'd say it diminishes your problems by a degree, it takes the glare away. Feels good on your skin too, like a good moisturizer, and is odorless. No makeupy side effects that I've seen.

this is the best primer i've used thus far,and i've tried quite a few. My first sample was from ipsy. i've loved it from my first try. I have very oily skin and this helps mattify (is this a real word? lol) I don't even have to use base/ concealer. It smooths out my skin, and make my pores almost nonexistent. Helps your skin look great in pictures. Give it a try and see if you don't fall in love with it too. Amazon's price is same as Sephora's for the small size, minus the tax plus you get 5% off if you use amazon store card. win win.

There are a lot of redness correcting primers out there, this is definitely one of the best ones. Reading other reviews for this, many complain that it doesnt do enough to cover redness. This product is thin and it feels like you're wearing nothing. However, like all steps in a face care and makeup routine, it takes a bit of patience. You dont see redness correction immediately, just like you should let your moisturizer soak into your skin for 5+ minutes before applying any makeup, you should do the same for primer. When you revisit your face after giving yourself a coffee break, you'll see that this redness correcting primer has done its job. No, it doesnt cover redness 100%. That isnt what a primer is supposed to do. This tones down the redness to the point where I only need one pump of foundation to cover my entire face. If you put this primer on by itself, it will tone down your redness, but it works best under a foundation. This even hides my redness under a BB Cream! If you've tried this in the past, and didn't like it because you didn't see instant results, give it a try again with my advice. And SLOW DOWN when putting your layers on, ladies! They don't slap a model's face on in 10 minutes.

I was expecting a lot more color correction. I watched a video on youtube and the girl had used a convenience store green primer- the results were amazing. My results aren't amazing. Smashbox, in general, has some great products- their pink primer goes on great. This green primer goes on great, feels great, but it doesn't really counter the red. I have slight redness on my forehead and around my nostrils and after applying this primer and foundation... I still need to use a concealer around my nostrils. It is a great travel size, but probably not something I'll be bringing with me. I'd rather save space than bring it since it just doesn't have that much of an effect. For nice events, I'll probably still attempt to use it.

I won't say that this stuff changed my life, but it certainly changed my makeup routine. I've never been huge on makeup, and prefer a minimal look, but that doesn't always work with my very fair, sensitive, breakout-prone skin that scabs easily. I thought I had gotten really good at the concealing routine until I tried this stuff and started to wonder how I ever lived without it. It's silky and weightless, but forms a really smooth layer of protection over my blemishes that lets foundation glide right on without clumping or cracking. My makeup stays put all day (used in conjunction with Urban Decay setting spray) and looks so much more natural than it used to. A little bit goes a long way, so the travel size will last me a good two months most of the time. Highly recommended for anyone who could use a little help with imperfections.

Würde es empfehlen! Ich hab gleichzeitig diesen Primer und Makeup gekauft, so weiss ich nicht wenn nur wegen Smashbox mein Gesicht schöner erscheint, aber denke er spielt eine große Rolle.

La muestra es muy pequeñita (del tamaño de los dedos de una mano) pero necesitas muy poca cantidad asi que cunde mucho.

Aunque es el pequeño dura mucho. Difumina bien los poros.

Habe eine mischhaut... t-zone ist ölig und der rest eher trocken... benutze diesen primer immer für die t-zone und endlich hält das makeup auch mal und bleibt dort wo es sein soll...
