StantFlex Fuel Regular Locking Fuel Cap, yellow

What is not stated, in removing the locked gas cap, one needs a key, which is correct. But to put it back on, you still need the same key to relock the cap.My previous Stant locking cap when the last ineptitude president was in office in 2008 and gas prices rise to $5.00 per gallon, was a Stant. Even though the vehicle was replaced by the same brand and model (newer version), something changed. Previous Stant locking caps were unlocking the cap and after refueling, just put the cap back on with a couple of clicks. Though it does its job, I believe this method only adds more complexity than it should.

I only bought this to add some more yellow to my 2012 Jeep Rubicon and because my engine light was on. After running diagnostics on the Jeep it appeared this was the problem so why not yellow? Put it on, locked and turned on Jeep - engine light is off! Locking is a tiny bit tricky but works just fine once you get the hang of using the keys. Great product and happy to say I recommend!

It is not the best top of the line quality, but it works and helps protect your gas. Could someone break in? Of course. Don't ever underestimate dirtbags, but if you want something to slow someone down, this will do the trick.

My check engine light came on and the Autozone guy checked it and said it was the gas cap. I bought one there and did a reset, but a couple weeks later, I got the exact same problem. I checked everything else and decided to buy the gas cap that I should have for my E85 vehicle. Amazon's price is 1/2 what the everyone locally is asking. It's been a few weeks now and my check engine light is still off. This is a very good gas cap, especially for the price. I've always had good luck with Stant replacement parts.

It works with Dodge Grand Caravan 2015 in case anyone needs to know. I gave it four start because removing it it's a little "clunky" but it does the job well, it also doesn't have a way to connect the little rubber cord that holds it in place when it's removed, so you end up holding it in yourhand while you pump gas or leaving it behind at the gas station.

Hard to use and caused my Check engine light to come on. And gas mileage got worsePut old cap back and and all is good plus gas mileage went back up. I used it properly with the keys and turning it to lock and had other family members they also. So though it dais it would fit my flex fuel Nissan pickup it doesn’t not seem to. I agree with another review in that having to use the key to lock it back makes it a lot more hassle. so I’ll be shopping for one that the key is not required to lock it back.
