This part will install in just a few minutes if you have basic skills. Restores flame signal strength if that's your issue. Turned out that the thermostat in the gas control valve had corroded to point of water intrusion which required replacement. Also a simple repair with basic skills. Restored to like-new operation.

We had originally ordered this with the expectation that it would take 2 weeks to arrive, as it was listed before ordering, but we didn’t have an option because nobody else had one that was priced well besides this one, so thus.. prepared for two weeks without hot water. Do your homework to make sure is this item that you need, how to diagnostic and install. This can be done or a team job. Get ready to take your time at least 45 min to removed the old and installed the new. Will need some tools (phillips, flat, wrench and pliers) as example of what we used to complete the task.

This part was exact replacement I needed.. it's pretty easy to install over all. This product is made well with decent materials that will hold up over time seems like.

I did have to replace the 1/4 inch valve to connect the gas valve properly; it leaked at first with the original product sent. I was able to buy the proper parts for $2.50 at a local hardware store. It took a couple of tries, but since Whirlpool, NOT this seller, only sells the entire piece and not what I needed, it worked. Overall, not a bad product, but you might to buy additional parts. Also, I've only had this product installed for two days, let's see how it works long term...

This fit my AO Smith GCV 50 water heater. Pilot light would not stay lit, changed out the pilot assembly with this part and it worked perfect. Before you go out and buy a whole mew burner assembly, try this out.

It was missing a pipe piece. It had wire sleeve on it that had to be cut to go back in place. It does work.
