This shroud is a very sturdy metallic design with highly durable paint. Paired two shrouds together for harsh weather protection of both my gate keypad and intercom. See photos. A good investment for protecting the electronics from Florida’s brutal sun and heavy rains. Installed the shrouds together on a curved steel pole. Everything bolted together perfectly after a bit of drilling and cutting... for joining two shrouds. Well worth the time and effort for a long-lasting and trouble-free installation. Feedback: The pool man and other service folks say the shroud keeps the keypad buttons dry and cool. Visitors and guests say the contrasting gray color shroud helps to easily recognize the gate controls. The robustness of the shroud also may help to protect the electronics from abuse caused by pecking birds and lite vandalism. Overall pleased with it’s functionality.

Well made. Should last decades. Provides additional cover for a "waterproof" intercom.
