The measuring cups are worth the price alone. I really like the modern industrial look of the bar handle design. The cups are a nice weight but not too heavy and they are a nicely finished. The spoon set is lighter in weight and the handles are shorter than I expected. But they look more elegant in person than they do in the photos. I like the fact this set is stainless steel, rather than plastic which may release chemicals or discolor over time. The only slight complaint is that the two smallest cups nest so tightly that they can stick together a bit.

... it's a measuring spoon and cup set in stainless steel with great handles and nicely cooperative rings to keep them all together. Good weight and the spouts on the cups work nicely to eliminate / reduce spillage when pouring. English and metric quantities on each item for good measure / to simplify recipe conversion at least a bit. RECOMMENDED! Cheers from Texas, Billy

I bought these for durability, to replace my "early marriage" set of measuring cups. I love these, they will last forever and are easy-to-clean. I do have a problem with these. And I read about it in other reviews, and thought it wouldn't be a problem for me, but it is. The measurement is on the bottom of the cup, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is when you're in a kitchen flurry and having to quickly grab things, or nod to someone else who's helping you. Worse, the etching is hard to read, so much so that I have thought seriously about how to deface the cups by informally etching the sizes in some permanent way. Why, with all of the feedback they have, are they still etching the cup size in such a hard-to-read way? Still, once you have the right cup size, it is flawless and beautiful. I like everything about these, except for their treatment of the labeling for each cup.

These are classy. So much nicer than plastic. They stack nicely, are sturdy, easy to use.

Great measuring cups.

The New Star 42917 ensemble is perfect for my needs. Other measuring spoons and cups have proven at best disappointing and at worst disastrous. Plastic just melts to quickly, there have been some poly-blend that have lasted longer but only minimally so. Resin, while having a higher melt point, just can't handle the pressure extremes my experiments require. I had resisted using metal, knowing full well the ferrous material would affect the pattern of the graviton particles. However the New Star 42917 is manufactured with such precision craftsmanship that the variation is static and ergo easily compensated for in my equations. The New Star Foodservice 42917 Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons and Measuring Cups have performed beyond expectations and have helped get this project our of the ditch and back towards the goal of creating a (very) brighter future for humankind. Also, great for making pancakes.

Although these use American measurements, the cups are actually very close to Australian cups, and although the tablespoon is 15ml rather than 20ml, it is still very useful. They are sturdy and well made and wash up well in the dishwasher.

Awesome measuring cups, wash well in dishwasher and have stood the test of time.
