Worked perfectly for me on my 1.8 litre chevrolet cruze ls, timing belt replacement and rear timing cover gasket replacement. Did not need to lockout the crankshaft via the transmission bell housing adapter however it's necessary to have both the sprocket gear locks and the rear cam lock in place before you take the belt off, it ensures that you are on TDC and keeps the cams from moving with a redundant backup

Bought this for a time belt change. Since then of also had to change a head gasket and I've used the kit several times. Cam lock and came pulley lock saved me. Saw a video that said I'd have to shave it down but I did not. A little patients using the came pulley lock, but I'm very happy. Truly wouldn't have been able to complete my repairs without it.

Did my timing belt and this tool held the cam gears the way it should. Definitely worth it. 1.8 timing belt book labor 2.1 hours.
