NIVEA MicellAIR Professional Micellar Water Make-Up Remover (400ml), Eye Make Up Remover, Skin Cleanser, Professionally Tested, NIVEA Micellar Water

Nivea is a brand that my wife trusts and has used for many years. As we are supposed to avoid going out shopping as much as possible at the moment, she looked online for a replacement for her usual makeup remover and found this ‘Micellar technology’ cleanser. After investigating, she found that Micellar water products are made up of micelles which are tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules, suspended in soft water. Apparently, it’s this dual-action relationship between water and oil that works, a bit like a magnet to draw out the impurities in your skin, leaving it clean and fresh without the drying effect of usual soap and water. She was very impressed, it was not greasy, felt refreshing on her face. It even removed waterproof makeup easily. It will now become part of her beauty regime. She liked the larger 400ml sized bottle. At £5.50 a bottle it is also good value for money.

So I'm trying to be a little more eco with regards with my makeup and removers, I was using wet wipes but since buying this on top of reusable pads I'm never going back 😊. It removes all traces of makeup, it has zero scent which I love, anything over powering with scent on my face drives my nose batty, it's not greasy and doesn't contribute to breakouts. 100% will be buying once I run out which will won't be for a little while because its a sizeable bottle. Update: I'm allergic 😬 apparently to surficants, if you have highly sensitive skin like me this stuff will not be any good, I've itched my face till its raw 😭 my eyes are itchy and bloodshot, just be aware of the ingredients.

I love this micellair make up remover as it’s oil based so removes my eye make up with ease, even if it’s quite heavy, compared to water based products which I have to go over and over again before it’s fully removed. I have combination skin which is prone to hormonal ace so keeping my skin clean is essential for keeping breakouts to a minimum and this removes make up and dirt really well. Bottle is quite large so lasts a long time and is good value for money. Not sure if this product is genuine or the packaging has changed though as my store bought purchase on the left looks different to the bottle on the right, as you can see in the photos. I’m going to continue using it for now and will update my review at a later date.

One of the best in the market with this price. It doesnt leave oily trace after you used it. Just mix it before you use.

My other makeup remover had run out and I decided to try this one. It's a bit disappointing: they advertise it as a no-scrub type of remover, but I do have to rub my skin quite fairly to see some results (aka my makeup remover disk showing the dirt). It also doesn't seem to remove as much dirt as my previous one, also by Nivea. The oil is non-greasy and gets absorbed quite quickly by my skin (something that doesn't happen usually with oils). I don't feel my skin stripped of all its natural oils and left with that dry feeling, which is nice. All in all, it's a mixed review: it's not too harsh on the skin, but it also doesn't cleanse it very well...

I use waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Always used Nivea daily essentials double effect eye make-up remover. Found this eye make-up remover on Amazon for a third of the price of the above Nivea eye make-up remover. Nice surprise is how well it removes my waterproof mascara and eyeliner, no rubbing, just gentle strokes did the job. Rest of my make-up came off just as easily. Great product, great price.
