Great product, great quality
This is an AMAZINGLY handy drain opener. It will work on a small sink and a local line, pretty much anything but a 4 inch main line root incursion. It works well when you hand crank it but you can really speed things up by using an electric or cordless drill. The trigger is a great feature. You can release the trigger and just spin it in place, helping to clean and scour the clog area. Very well designed. ONE THING: After you use it and you're cleaning up, run the snake out about 6 feet and hose it off - and then spray a little WD-40 on it before retracting. This helps clean and lubricate the entire snake as it coils back up. DO NOT put it out much more than that when it's out in the open - when the snake is not inside a pipe, a long length of it can be hard to handle and wind back in.

Useful
Works good. Kinda hard to hold with one hand and spin the wheel with the other but I was able to figure it out and got my drain cleared out. Haven’t hooked a drill to it yet but I’m assuming that would make it even easier.

Works like a charm
Great little drain opener. I bought this to replace the first one after years of use. Much better than the cheaper units at the big box stores. Solid drum and the auto-feed makes it a good investment. This is best for small pipe clogs like sinks and bathtubs. You need something bigger if you have a mainline clog. Saved many dollars over hiring a plumber.

Paid for new and got a used tool.
I needed to clear a clog in the kitchen pipe leading to main house line. I wanted an auger that would be long and I could use with a drill. This showed up the next day but when I went to open the box it was obvious that the auger was repackaged. The cable was still dirty and you could see scuff marks on the housing. Since I needed to clear the drain, I went ahead and used it. It worked its way down the pipe, but I have no idea how far it went down the twenty foot pipe as you have no way of gauging how much played out. I hit a spot where it seemed to stop feeding out and didn't know if the full 25 feet was out or if I hit a major clog. It wouldn't go any further so I retracted it. The sink hasn't backed up yet, but we haven't used it much. I'll give it credit for snaking around a 90° turn nicely.

Weakly made, but does work very well if you don't break it while forcing it.
I'm on my second one, so far. If you force it, the cable will kink, and when it kinks it'll never again retract/extend correctly. However, if you don't force it, it works pretty well! It's cleaner to use than a bare cable/rod. Despite its lack of durability due to using too small/weak of a cable, its redeeming grace is it's relatively cheap. It nominally works, but it could be a better-designed product. I think it would be a bit heavy/unwieldy for a smaller woman with lesser upper body strength, or if you're a bigger weightlifter guy you'll easily kink the cable and be very unhappy. If you force it, it'll break, so you have to have a strategy of working smarter not harder. For your casual kitchen/bathroom sink clogged trap, it's "adequate". Its smaller than the pictures might imply and could store neatly under a sink in most cabinets, probably. It fits in a 5-gallon bucket that I have; I don't know if thats a standard size bucket. Thats a convenient storage strategy as it's going to end up pretty filthy eventually and the bucket will contain most of the mess in storage.

Easy to use, a lot less mess, great price for value
Our Master Bath toilet clogs from time to time. Not sure why. I used a 25' manual snake, and it never worked by hand unless I painstaking feed it inch by inch. Then connect a battery operated drill, and issue resolved. Enter the Rigid drain cleaner. * The trigger feeds the snake only when you pull the trigger. * If you want to pause, you can release the handle (not fully), and just run the drill as fast as you dare (instructions say not more than 500 RPM). * Need to reverse for short bit because it didn't feed right? Reverse the drill to pick up the slack. - Put back to normal drill (forward) mode, and continue feeding. * I've used this 2 times now, and both times it was a LOT quicker than the manual method. It was a lot cleaner. And I didn't manage to splash a bunch of water on the floor. When done? Reverse drill, pull back to casing. Put it into the sturdy cardboard box until it's needed again. I did need to get a pumice stone, as it does leave metal marks on the white toilet. In my opinion? Small price to pay. As this is recurring on an irregular basis, it's a good overall solution. And much cheaper than calling a plumber. I do wish that the drill receptacle/rod was 3 sided (or 6 sided), as the drill chuck sometimes comes loose. Overall great prices for value!

Does a better job than a manual snake.
This makes drain cleaning so much faster than a manual snake. 25 feet is long enough to easily clean the trap and probably a few elbows. I feel like I'm getting a larger clearing of any clogs because I can spin the cable much faster than turning manually. These last for years. I can't remember how long I had the previous one. I only bought this one because the old one eventually developed a couple of kinks in the cable which made it harder to use but I was happy with the life span of the product and I expect to have this one for many years. Works great for sinks, tubs and showers when I can't clean the drain with one of those plastic drain cleaners.

Finally managed to unclog sink in the kitchen. I tried initially all possible products from local supermarket - helped only for a while, after that used most powerful product to clean pipes HG Duo Power - result total blockage…ordered a cleaning attachment to my pressure washer - unfortunately not able to pass around 7m. Decision was made to go with ridgid power spin drain cleaner rather than cheaper options as the last think I would like to have is a part of steel kable in the pipe. Spring kable is very woof quality. Around 10-15min and sink was unclogged. I really recommend to us a power drill - it makes life easier.
