CALM 100 H 100 mm Kitchen or Bathroom Extractor Fan - Brilliant White with Timer & Humidity Sensor

I had the option of replacing our old Manrose unit with a new exactly the same but there was no benefit gained. Researched a few this device was claimed to be very quiet and in the same price bracket . It is a very well made fan unit , high quality and easy to install . I have already recommended this to others I know about to swap out bathroom fans .

Great product and great design but really sensitive and not many options to reduce it

It kept turning on randomly in the middle of the night. I took off the front plate and found a pool of water trapped inside, close to where the humidity sensor is. I noticed that the front plate doesn't seal properly against the main unit, leaving a gap which allows water that drips down the ducting into the front plate. To fix this I installed a rubber band around the front plate to seal it, which solved the problem and stopped the fan coming on randomly throughout the night. Also, the cover on one of the wiring compartments didn't connect firmly and seal properly, and water entered and built up there. Super-gluing it firmly in place seemed to fix the issue. Other than that, the fan itself is nice and quiet and performs much better than my old one.

We bought this to replace a similar one that we've had for 2 years so was easy to change over. Better price than the last one so I hope it lasts as long if not longer! Does the job really well and not too noisy.

Easy to install and fairly quiet. My first one broke after a couple of months but it was replaced and the new one is fine.

Just looks like any regular extractor fan.. fitting is the same as any other..the fan is not reliable it was a nightmare to get working within reason I got the humidistat model it took a week to get it working somewhat.. at times it would switch on when it sensed humidity but it kept running for hours after even when all the steam had evaporated even with the windows open ! and at times it only would run for a few minutes this was when it was set to highest humidity setting and running time lowest it seemed to do what it wanted I've even had to remove the fuse to stop it running a few times It's been going ok for a few days now but I still think it's unpredictable I paid a good price for the unit but don't think it was worth buying..a cheaper brand standard pull cord model is less problematic and more reliable at least you can switch it on and off when you have finished your bath or shower 😕

Fit a number of fans in rooms in commercial setting . This a far better fan with run on timer and humidity stat easy to set comes with own plastic tool to set timers in inner clear plastic casing over electrical wiring easy to see things . Good neat product.

I had read other reviews saying pretty much the same thing and had assumed these were people not following installation instructions. But no, within 10 days of installing it the circuit board is fried. It looks like with the addition of a whole bunch of silicone sealer or similar you could probably get this thing to function. But I wouldn't risk it. Real shame, as it's quiet, cheap and really very effective.

Lo compré para ayudar a la ventilación de un baño en el sótano de mi casa y hasta ahora estoy muy satisfecho. Es muy fácil instalarlo, solamente es necesario conectarlo a la electricidad, ajustar el sensor de humedad y listo! Compre este extractor hace un año y despues de un par de meses, parece que el detector de humedad se habia roto porque se quedo encendido todo el tiempo, aunque no habia humedad. Aunque deberia estar cubierto con garantia, no me dejaron devolverlo atraves del Amazon, y no hay forma de contactar con el vendedor que yo veo. Entonces escribo este opinion sobre mi experiencia. Aun esta roto el extractor y no lo puedo utilizar.

Es un buen ventilador. Cuesta un poco regular el sensor de humedad, al principio pensé que no funcionaba, o no arrancaba o no se paraba pero una vez regulado funciona muy bien.

lo tuve que devolver porque hacia mucho ruido y resultaba bastante molesto cuando entrabas al baño, la instalación he de decir que es bastante sencilla

Hace mucho ruido y no evacua bien el vapor de agua
