GREAT QUALITY! GREAT PRICE!!
Ramp Rack is made very well. Very sturdy construction. No instructions, so pay close attention to pictures provided. IN THE LAST PHOTOS, THE RAMP IS SHOWN WITH THE TWO SUPPORTS UPSIDE DOWN. THERE IS L SHAPED METAL ON BOTH ENDS. MAKE SURE THIS POINTS UP, NOT DOWN. That way, the removable ramp can hook onto it with the L shape on its end also. Unfortunately, I put it all together as shown by the picture illustration only to have to tear it apart and put it together correctly. Incredible that this error was in the illustrations. ALSO: Another assembly tip: THE HARDWARE IS NOT ORGANIZED OR LABELED BY TYPE OR SIZE OR USE. TO AVOID MISTAKES DURING ASSEMBLY, AND TO KEEP FROM PULLING YOUR HAIR OUT, TAKE THE TIME TO ORGANIZE EVERYTHING BY LIKE TYPE AND SIZE. THAT WILL MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU TO FIGURE OUT WHAT EXACTLY TO USE IN WHAT SITUATION. In all, this is a fabulous carrier, especially for the price. Heavy and well-made. About 50 pounds.

Horrible Instructions but a Great Deal
I upped my review from 4 start to 5 just based on the fact that this carrier is $80 and worked great. I hauled my Honda Elite CH250 scooter (~300 lbs.) camping on it and had no trouble. Took it off when we got there and put it back on before we left and had no issues, takes like 5 mins. It does feel very “light duty” and I was very skeptical of it based on mixed reviews but as long as you put it together right (see below) and strap it down tight, it’s not going to go anywhere. It says it doesn’t come with a hitch pin but it does come with an “anti-sway stabilizer” and the bolt used in that acts exactly like a hitch pin, except it threads into a thing inside the carrier tube when it’s in the hitch to help keep it from swaying and has a sleeve that goes over the bolt and there is a hole for a cotter pin in the end of the bolt, so it is technically a functional hitch pin. My hitch also only has one hole so there’s nowhere to put another pin anyways. It didn’t stop it from swaying completely but it wasn’t out of control or anything. The only caveat is that the included instructions were absolutely horrible. The parts list nor the instructions mentioned anything about flat or lock washers and there were a TON of them. Hopefully you already know enough about hardware to know the correct order they go; unfortunately for me, I didn’t. After doing a little research on google, viewing the assembled picture on here (that actually conflicts the provided instructions), and a little trial and error, I believe I have it together right, although I did end up with 4 big flat washers I didn’t use. I guess if I didn’t get it right it’s just a ~300 lb scooter falling off the back of my truck into traffic, no big deal right?! :/ Overall a great value but just know that you had better be pretty handy with the proper application of nuts, bolts and different types of washers or able to research it effectively online (which took me a fair while of reading) if you have any hope of safely assembling this carrier!

2021: Jan update: Cheap good carrier.
UPDATE: Jan 2021: Owned this since 2018 and have no issues with it except noted below. It has been a great carrier and seems solid. The only issue is the round "pipe" that they give you as the insert through the whole and the threaded bolt that goes through. Over time it has become bent and is now getting very hard to get through seamlessly. Sure i have hit the carrier a few times (bottom out) like going through a bump to fast. Who does not do that. The carrier is solid, but that bolt (like others have noted) will be eventually somewhat bent and hard to get the threaded bolt through the pipe. But otherwise great product. Looks like a good carrier. I have the same complaints as others: 1. Directions are almost worthless. Hard to see pictures and translate them to how to put it together. 2. Wish there were more tie down hooks on carrier 3. Seems like the ramp is really flimsy. I got my bike in by myself, but the ramp slips off end a lot. The end of the carrier where ramp goes when trying to load was bent when I unpacked the box. I will use it a few times and see if it holds up! Good price and great shipping. I am carrying a 250 pound dirt bike (KTM 250) on a 2004 Honda Pilot.

Instruction lied
0 freaking stars the instructions are complete lies. They messed up so much and wasted hours and hours of my time they give us horrible instructions to start off, but turns out after spending all that time the official instruction video manual were completely wrong. The lip is upside down like wasted so much of my time and I’m really really angry right now. I’ve been having a bad day and this just topped it off wow.
