DOWNLITE Flat & Soft Down Pillow – Hypoallergenic Premium Down (Not Feathers) – Standard Size, 20 x 26

I want to preface this review by saying this pillow is not for everyone. There's a certain kind of person that this pillow is absolutely PERFECT for, and I have been looking for something like this, that is reasonably priced, for the past 15 years. My sleeping style is rather mixed, I sleep on my back, side, and stomach. When sleeping on my stomach, before this pillow (haven't not found one like my pillow 20 years ago) I would typically use no pillow at all and just lay my arm over it. This pillow is as fluffy as it gets, and your head WILL sink down all the way to the mattress. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a pillow. When I am sleeping on my back or side, I stack another one on top of it (I ordered 2). The feel of this, is that of luxury! The last pillow I had that I absolutely loved that had a similar feel was by Pacific Coast, and feather mixed with down, but not this! No odd feather parts, or pricks. This pillow is worth every dollar I paid for it. I scoured the reviews for a couple days before I decided to order. Some people complained about a weird smell, or plastic bag feeling -- I'm not experiencing this, in fact I absolutely LOVE the tactile feel of this when squishing it -- my Pacific Coast pillow felt like this, and that's what I love about this one. I included a photo of the tag in case anybody wonders about the contents. I saw some people complain that it was not 100% down, and some others argue that it was. Whatever the case is, it's a perfect fill for me, and I wouldn't change anything about it. Downlite's official response is as follows: "By law a product labeled down has to be 75% or more down clusters. The other 25% can be more down, fibers or feathers. There is no such thing as 100% down (it is impossible unless a team of people hand tweezer out anything else). Down costs 10-12 times as much as feathers (so when you see a feather pillow twin pack for $40, your getting what you pay for...not much)" If you require support as a back sleeper, this is probably not the pillow for you, however when I am sleeping on my back I double them up and am in heaven. I couldn't ask for a more perfect pillow!

Do you like a "scrunchy" pillow? You know; one that you can mold high enough to provide support while on your side but is still cushy enough to conform to your head? If so, then this is your pillow! The premium pillows in the department stores were too firm, tall, and large for my twin mattress. I was a bit concerned when I received my pillow because it was too flat. The instructions (Yes, reading instructions can be VERY helpful!) advised giving the pillow a brief whirl in the dryer and, VOILA! This pillow as exactly what I wanted and hope my description is helpful in making your decision.

Perfect for down pillow lovers. Well filled, but vey cuddly!! Helps neck pain, fluff right up, the cover is soft and NOT crunchy as one I tried. It does everything you want from a down pillow! It supports but cradles you. Great for side sleeping, and never feels hot. Tried several… this was it!

I wanted a low profile pillow but this one is a little bit low even for me. It's thinner than other down pillows I've used by a bit. I never would have known it's synthetic instead of real down. That part is excellent.
