WOW I am so happy! Owing this computer changes the way you see life
So beautiful, potent and playful. I love the Windows Hello feature, it turns on right away after searching for you! You can see two or more windows at the same time and boy are they HUGE. I love drawing on it. Also made my first movie really fast with Animotica which is very easy to use. I had No experience with movie making before. The value for the money is 3 because it is SO expensive! LOVE IT, BUY IT

A+ for Style and Function
I deliberated a long time on this purchase because of the high price tag but it was worth it. I love just about everything about it--the sharp graphics, the touch screen, the tilt that allows me to lower the screen almost flat and read or mark up documents with the stylus while standing up. I am very happy to operate in the Microsoft universe. I'm using Office 365 which has so many great features for a writer. The marketing skews towards visual artists but the Studio 2 offers great functionality for writing and editing. It's a beautiful machine. And I did save about $100 on Amazon compared to other sellers. My only criticism is that the ports located on the back of the stand are hard to reach.

Nope didn't like it at all.
Nope didn't like it, the box looked like it was sent to me directly from a garbage can, it had all sorts of stain and when I tried to use the computer it didn't start at first and then it kept turning off at me.

Overpriced, Washed Out Video, Muffled Sound
I am going back to my two year old Dell XPS 27 because at least on my Surface Studio 2, the color is washed out particularly on video playback. I find the sound muffled compared to my Dell. Every one raves about the hinged screen on the Studio, but compared to the Dell hinge, it is flimsier. I will keep the Studio but it well may be a backup. The Dell XPS27 was that good. I understand the Dell XPS27 is now discontinued but they make a similar machine using the same hinge without the superior sound bar. If I had to do it over again I would not spend the money on the Studio.

Screen is huge.
Love the look...the facial recognition and pin features stopped working for some reason and I’ve only had it for 2 days...maybe a software issue. But the facial recognition feature is awesome and excellent for privacy. Screen feels huge and I have to push it far away from me to take the whole screen while working.

Works great but definitely not an All-In-One Desktop
Perfect if you only using it for illustration and animation purposes. When I got this in 2020, it was used primarily for drawing and animating in applications in Photoshop and similar apps and I had no problem! At first, I was even able to run games on it, but that very quickly stopped being an option as over time the computer would overheat and shut down. This started happening in other applications as well like Photoshop and when I attempted to stream and record my art, the computer became unsuable. A fan underneath the "tower" part fixed the overheating and helped it run smoother but because that is attached to the monitor, it's not a viable solution for when you need to tilt the screen down to draw as now it's at a taller height that's just enough to make drawing on it impossible. For the price, it should not have been doing this after six months but I managed to make it work. As I started going into 3D and game development programs the past year, I figured the Surface Studio 2 would be able to handle it since it was running fairly smoothly again but sadly that hasn't been the case. On pen and paper, the specs of this computer should be able to handle it - an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, etc etc, and the fact that it was designed FOR this purpose of being for artists. I was really hoping this desktop would be my all-in-one when I bought it but it's just not versatile enough to handle it despite the fact that at this price, it really should be. I ended up having to buy a gaming laptop and monitor to run Unity on which was 1/4 of this price but was worth it for portability, gaming, and performance. I still use this for drawing but switching between these two is a pain and I can't justify replacing it just yet after what I paid.

Easy to use for an old lady.
The surface studio is just what I wanted. It was easy to get started loading pictures.
