This set was a life saver. My wife had become very frustrated with pumping. She would pump for a long time and get very little from it. She uses a Spectra S2 pump and had the largest cup they offered. After talking with a friend who is a lactation consultant they thought she may need an even larger set and these were recommended. These were perfect and fit her great. Her pumping time became so much more effective and productive. She enjoyed it more, as much as someone can enjoy being milked like a cow, I mean providing wonderful sustenance for our kid. We also use the Kiinde system and with her Spectra system she had a Spectra adapter and a Kiinde adapter to pump into the Kiinde bags. With these, she only needs the Kiinde attachment. Thank you Ameda for these and I hope if there are other women out there who are having trouble and feel they have larger nipples, give these a try.

I don't know why this item gets such a bad rap. I read the reviews expecting to possibly be disappointed, but I needed a bigger flange and didn't know which size I needed (medium or large) and the only way to get the medium size is to buy the large with medium inserts like this (unless you wanna spend more than twice as much, which I didn't). Anyways, I am pleasantly surprised. This works great for me! I ended up needing the medium flanges. The inserts are easy to take in and out. Reviews I read said it leaked and kinda hurt when pumping. I have no idea what they're talking about. I haven't had any issues with either of those things. It is a little harder to see where your nipple is in the flange because of the double layer, but it's not that bad, especially if you have lights on. So this product gets 5 stars from me. It's just what I needed when the standard size flange wasn't quite enough and it was easy on my wallet. And if I ever need the large size as well, I have it too!

This flanges are AMAZING. The original flanges that the Ameda pump comes with were too small and my nipples rubbed against them while I was pumping causing them to be in terrible pain so it hurt to nurse. I ordered these and once I started using them my nipples no longer hurt. I also noticed a significant increase in the volume of milk I was pumping. I definitely suggest these to those with larger nipples like mine. It is important to have the right size of flanges to allow milk to flow properly to prevent breast engorgement and to prevent sore nipples! Also love that they come apart so it is easier to clean the parts!

Just like other Ameda parts, these fit my Lansinoh pump (the old one for which they have stopped making parts) perfectly. I really wish I had bought these with my first child as they are much more comfortable than the standard size. Two small things: 1) The plastic is not clear like in the picture, it is opaque & 2) with the Medium adapter in, I find it hard to see my nipple (two layers of opaque plastic) and it makes placing the flange hard. I just use the large flange and that works for me.

I bought this kit b/c I accidentally ran over one of my medium flanges. How does one run over a flange, you ask? Well, the medium flanges are not full flanges, but rather inserts. The inserts fit just fine into the large flanges, however, they do not stay put. So when I dropped my bag outside, I didn't even think to make sure the medium insert was inside the large flange. I think that Ameda should definitely do 1 of 2 things... either create a medium flange or find a more secure way for the medium insert to stay put. One additional comment... It would be nice to have the medium be sold separate of the large flanges for people like me who just need the insert... I'm sure I'm not the only one who has damaged the insert or lost it. It's a good product, but it could definitely become a great product with some tweaks.

After reading the previous reviews for these breast flanges I was hesitant to order them. However, once I received them, sanitized them and gave them a try they work just fine. I used the larger size flange as my nipples tend to swell while pumping. I think they are just a tad too big, so I gave the inserts a try. I remembered some of the other reviewers said that they couldn't get a proper seal so I kept this in mind. When you insert the smaller flange into the larger one the circle parts don't meet up, however, it didn't create a problem when pumping. One thins I always do whenever I pump, regardless of the breast pump or flange (I have 3 different breast pumps) I use a bit of coconut oil inside the flange and on my nipples to prevent rubbing and chaffing. So I believe that may have helped create a better seal. If you are thinking about getting larger flanges these definitely helped my comfort level during and after pumping. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the insert came as a flange instead of an insert. It just adds one more step and more items I have to clean and store.

Ugh!!! These flanges are great, BUT the pump not so much. It is NOT for those who are exclusively pumping. Surprisingly, I found it more comfortable than the PISA, but the suction power waxes and wanes. When it's weak it does not drain your breast and you will have lumps that have to be massaged out with heat applications. Super painful!!! I bought the Spectra 2 pump and it is very comfortable. I actually enjoy pumping now. The Ameda pump was free through my insurancestors carrier. I bought the PISA and it was extremely rough on my nipples and loud. Spectra 2 is very quiet.

After losing the battle to the standard flange that was in the kit I purchased from the hospital, a lactation consultant gave me the next size up. I then purchased these (yet another size up) and had the best fit. If you aren't comfortable or getting a good quantity of milk with each pump, PLEASE try a different size flange. Made a world of difference to me in output and comfort.

Excelente, vienen 2 sets (extractor y reductor) son de un plastico resistente y semi transparente. Yo lo adquirí para remplazar el que venia original en el extractor, ya que ya tenia bastante con el otro(mas de 6 años). Y quedo perfecto los utilizo 4 veces al día y los lavo y esterilizo cada vez y estan muy bien

Exactly as expected and arrived on time. Larger flange than what comes with the machine has made pumping more comfortable.

It works perfectly. I really like the way it’s designed to accommodate two sizes with the same base. Don’t hesitate if you need a different size from the default one.

These fit perfect! Makes pumping less painful when they fit properly! Good for inverted nipples because the don’t pop out the way you would think they do.
