easy to use, good value starter camera that will grow with you from auto to manual controls
battery lasted around 5 hours of almost constant photography (learning to use camera and was so easy, I just kept going!) The quality of the pictures was sooo much better than I am used to. Even better than my binocular view! Easily connects to app on phone via wifi and Bluetooth. The perfect starter camera on auto setting, but plenty of options to personalise the settings for the more advance photographer. Reasonably priced considering the top notch quality and functionality. I was at least 100-200 yards away from the photo subjects, and these were all on auto settings,

Great wee camera
I've used a number of bridge cameras over the years Fuji, Nikon and now Canon and to be honest I'm delighted with both the weight and size of the camera, compared to my Nikon P950 which was huge, size difference can be seen in photo. Reason for changing camera is due to arthritis in both hands making it difficult to hold the Nikon, this wee camera is great to hold and use, especially in the run with my guineas, the focusing is superb and picture quality is excellent for my purposes. The enclosed instruction book could have been printed a bit bigger, however I went online and d/l'd the user manual and was able to read and use without a problem. The various settings are OK but some I would not use like toy camera and fish eye. Will be taking the camera out and about over the w/e once the new camera case arrives, in the meantime I'm in the run with the guinea pigs snapping away. A decent camera well worth buying...........

Very nice camera, amazing zoom
I’ve used DSLR cameras before and didn’t want to go back to changing lenses constantly and wanted a bridge camera with a decent zoom. I looked at reviews and videos online and settled on this one. The zoom is amazing, yes there’s some softness at max zoom but that’s to be expected but the sheer level of zoom is amazing, very happy with that. The manual settings are a little bit of disappointment if you’re used to DSLR cameras, but aren’t too bad. I wish I could manually focus by rotating a lense ring rather than relying on electronic movement to focus, even on manual focus it’s not quite as good as the small tiny movements needed but again if you’re not used to DSLR cameras you probably won’t mind too much. I tried some low light shots and again the manual controls could be better but still good for tweaking settings, I definitely miss my old DSLR for night shots, but during the day putting it on auto mode is pretty damn good so a minor issue if you’re day time shooting most of the time. The neck strap sucks, just plain sucks. Treat yourself to a better strap, one that allows the camera to hang to your hip is much better and way more comfortable than being cheese wired with the one that comes with the camera.

Great bridge camera
I have had aCanon DSLR for years, however, find that to carry three/four different lens around can be a challenge. This camera covers an excellent range from wide angle to about equiv 1300mm telephoto. One fixed lens. Very lightweight. I am used to the Canon menus so easy to pick up as I went through. I like the swivel and tilt screen which can be used instead of the viewfinder. Also having the ability to send images to my iPad or mobile by using the Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth setting on the camera; I have moved some old images taken with my DSLR as still had these on my SD card! There are restrictions in ISO and Aperture settings so use of a DSLR for low light would be better. Overall whilst still early days I am happy with this camera.

Not easy to use, very confusing..
It gives good results for it's specifications, but not for easy to use except for the point and shoot auto mode. Auto focus is a bit vague, and slow. The manual focus is hard to set easily. Zoom is incredible, but a tripod is needed for good shots at the extreme end. It is good value for money all the same. There are better "Bridge Cameras" to consider, I wish I had, as I thought with the canon brand I could not do better. I haven't found a lens hood that fits properly either, and the doesn't seem Canon has one available to buy. Oh it regularly stops working with error messages saying reboot camera. I could go on with the issues, but I will live with it for now.

Fabulous camera
I bought this camera to replace a Powershot SX40 that I have had 6 years and had taken photos that had been shortlisted for amateur photography competitions. It had become slower taking photos and was having a few problems focusing so it was time to replace it. I also wanted one with Bluetooth and WiFi to connect to my smart devices so that I could download my photos whilst on holiday and more conveniently at home as well. I was slightly put off by some of the reviews but decided to go for it anyway and I am absolutely delighted. I set the image quality to the largest jpg 16:9 which comes out at around 7MB per photo and after a few practice shots, I got the results I was hoping for. The colours are fabulous, the zoom is extraordinarily good, the image stabilizer is superb. The transfer of the photos to my tablet using the software is lightning fast considering how big the files are. The only downside is you have to have a WiFi signal as there's no NFC but that's a small gripe. An excellent replacement for my SX40 with all round improvements.
