I don't give 5 Stars to many products but this small OBD2 scanner for under $30 may very well be deserving of it. I've worked on cars for over 30 yrs now and this thing has more options than scanners Ive purchased for double what this one costs. It utilizes a very common OS that I first saw in the scanners from HF many yrs ago, nothing technical like Android but simplistic and functional. This is a great, cheap Scanner if you need to just check DTC's and also provides live data, IM Readiness and mode 6 & 8 for vehicles that support it. I really like the OBD pinout live voltage data screen and the Mode 6 which tells you the specific test that the sensor failed in the DTC, all of these features are a bonus and gives more information as to where the problem lies. Unfortunately there isn't an option to look at multiple PID's live data in graph format at the same time but it does work for single PID and multiples with plain text. There may be other OBD2 scan tools out there that have more features but your probably not going to pay under $30 for them. This powers up using a wired connection to your OBD port and there are no batteries nor blue tooth dongles, yes its simple but effective and if I really need to dig deeper I will grab my Verus with built in Lab scope which is light years beyond this toy but many times I just need a little direction between the codes, pids and STFT/LTFT data. A very cost effective, useful scan tool to keep in your car at all times so your not stressing the whole day if your CEL lights up. A small manual is also included in case you are new to OBD scanners but you probably wont need it.

After trying a few budget OBD2 scanners that gave vague or unreliable readings, the T200 OBD2 Scanner Diagnostic Tool impressed me right out of the box. It’s compact, intuitive, and surprisingly powerful for its price. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or a weekend mechanic, this tool offers professional-grade functionality in a format that’s easy for anyone to use. Speed: 5/5 The T200 connects almost instantly once plugged into the OBD2 port. Code reading and data retrieval are fast, and there’s minimal delay between switching menus or accessing new diagnostic screens. I appreciate not having to wait through long loading times like with cheaper models — it keeps the workflow smooth and efficient. Functionality: 5/5 This scanner goes far beyond basic code reading. It supports full system diagnostics, live data streaming, and even active tests. It’s particularly useful for checking I/M readiness before inspections. The AUTO VIN feature is a standout, automatically identifying the vehicle and pulling relevant system data with precision. Ease of use: 5/5 The plug-and-play design makes setup effortless — just connect and go. The menus are clear, and the navigation buttons are well laid out. Even without prior experience, you can easily read and clear codes, view freeze frames, and understand what’s happening under the hood. Readability: 5/5 The screen is bright, high-contrast, and easy to read even in daylight. The text is crisp, and color-coded data helps highlight important information. Code explanations are well-written and simple enough for a beginner to understand without needing to look up external references. Features: 5/5 The T200 supports 14 languages, works on nearly any vehicle made after 1996, and even includes advanced functions like ECU info and DTC lookup. It’s a great all-around tool whether you’re maintaining a family car, a truck, or multiple vehicles. The multilingual support also makes it versatile for use in different settings. Code clarity: 5/5 Fault codes are displayed clearly, with immediate definitions that save time. The built-in database provides real-world explanations that help pinpoint problems quickly. I’ve already used it to diagnose a check engine light that turned out to be a simple gas cap issue — saving me a trip to the mechanic. Pros: - Quick and accurate diagnostics - Clear code explanations with real-time data - Durable build and bright, easy-to-read screen - Plug and play—no setup or batteries required - Supports multiple vehicle types and languages Cons: - Made in China, a clear threat to freedom and democracy (-1 star) - Does not include a carrying case

A basic, affordable tool that every DIY mechanic should have. I think you get a pretty good bang for your buck with this scanner. It was super easy to plug in, and then I just turned on the car battery, the menu came up, and it was very intuitive. I quickly figured out what to press and it provided an error code. I also like that you can clear codes with this scanner👍
