I'm pleased that I was able to find a collection of natural soaps for such a reasonable price. I'm in love with the short ingredients list on the soap sleeves. I used one for the first time today--I picked the Bergamot bar--and was also pleased with the smooth lather it made. It was good enough to shave with, and my skin did not feel dried out after using. (which, yay. bar soaps do that to me more often than not, so I love that these didn't). To nitpick, I'd been under the impression that they were scented with real essential oils, but they are not. The soap sleeve clearly indicates that they are scented with "parfum" (perfume). They smell pleasant, but they do smell like perfumed scents (not the real essential oils), and they smell mostly the same (except the lemon and grapefruit). To be fair, this is my misunderstanding, as the Amazon ad in no way indicates that they DO include essential oils. I just happened to click over from another one of their sets that actually does, then didn't bother verifying that this one did, too. To others like me who are sensitive to manufactured scents, though, please take this into account. However, I can't fault the actual product--the soaps are great quality, and I'm sure 98% of people won't care one way or another and will find the scents pleasant, cheerful, and mild. Last note: I love the packaging. They come in a cute little orange box, and the illustrations on the individual soap sleeves are beautiful. I feel like this would make a great gift for someone.

Very nice soaps. They were all packaged together which initially made all of the soaps smell horrible. But after putting them aside from each other, the actual scents became better. they're not to big, but not too small. They make the skin feel nice after use. The colors look natural, unlike some brands that make their soaps some strange color. Updated review: Nice soaps, but unfortunately after a few days of use I got a very bad allergic reaction. Not sure to what ingredient, but if you are someone with sensitive skin.. beware. I loved these soaps until I started getting hives for what ever reason.

My journey to reduce plastic waste led me to purchase this bar soap, notably because it is in bar format rather than body wash. I also like how the bars are not individually wrapped in plastic but rather cardboard sleeves (pictured here). So I put it on subscribe and save and used it for years, but did not scrutinize the ingredients— until now. Upon first glance, the soap’s all-natural ingredient list seemed promising, aligning with my preference for products that tread lightly on our planet. Ingredients like Olive and Coconut oils, alongside Vitamins C and E, suggested a mindful formulation. However, my enthusiasm waned upon noticing Sodium Palmate, a derivative of palm oil, among the ingredients. The palm oil industry is notorious for its adverse environmental impacts, including deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and significant greenhouse gas emissions. These effects cannot be overlooked, as they pose significant threats to global ecosystems and contribute to climate change. Although the soap itself is a quality product that meets the basic need for cleanliness without contributing much to plastic pollution, the inclusion of palm oil—even sustainably sourced—raises important ethical considerations. The challenge of verifying the true sustainability of palm oil adds complexity to what would otherwise be an eco-friendly choice. In sharing this review, my intent is to highlight the nuances of making environmentally responsible purchases. While this soap aligns with the goal of reducing plastic waste and appears to embrace natural ingredients, the shadow cast by palm oil cannot be ignored. I urge the manufacturer to reconsider its use of palm oil, and I encourage fellow consumers to remain vigilant and informed about the environmental implications of the products we support. I’m going stop buying this soap and will find another soap to use because I do not want to contribute to the deforestation of the palm oil industry.

PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT IN AUGUST 2023 ALONG WITH TWO OTHER BOXES. JUST OPENED THIS ONE, AND THE SOAP SMELLS LIKE IT CAME FROM A MUSTY BASEMENT. UPON INSPECTION OF THE BOX, THERE ARE WATER STAINS ON THE BOTTOM AS IF IT WAS WET AT SOME TIME. TOO LATE TO RETURN BUT WILL PURCHASE AGAIN. OTHER PRODUCTS WONDERFUL. UPDATE: COMPANY CONTACTED ME AFTER THIS REVIEW. OFFERED A REFUND WHICH I ACCEPTED. ONCE RECEIVED I REPURCHASED THIS PRODUCT AND TRIED IT. THE OVERALL PRODUCT WAS NICE AND PERFORMED WELL; BUT I ADMIT IT WAS NOT MY CUP OF TEA, BECAUSE I LOVE AROMAS IN MY SOAP. I opened the package and I could definitely smell all the wonderful scents in these soaps. The bars are a perfect size. I have only tried one bar so far, but I could not be happier with the way it lathers up. Its hard to say about the moisturizing and longevity part of this review, but I believe at least one of the bars that is labeled as moisturizing will do just what it claims. It had the feel of a moisturizing bar of soap. What I am really interested in seeing is whether or not these soaps create an increase in soap scum in the tub. Many of the old-fashioned lye soaps definitely did. I had switched to a liquid body wash because they don't create scum. I don't believe these bars will either, which is why I am trying them. At this point, I am very happy with them. The only thing I would have liked to see is that each bar was completely wrapped since it will take time to use them all. The only thing wrapping the bars was a short band stating which bar it is and what its prime purpose is. I would have liked them to be better preserved so that I can store them outside of the box they came in. That original box just doesn't fit the space I have on my shelf. What I did was wrap each one up in parchment paper and tape it. That way I can stack them how I need to on the shelf until I'm ready to get one. Don't know if parchment is great for keeping them fresh, but it definitely keeps them from getting messed up. If you are against added plastic wraps in the environment, you'll love these. Maybe you have a better idea for keeping them fresh and environment-friendly at the same time.
