I bought the speaker in June 2020. I'm writing this review after 4 months. I'm gonna share a few insights of the product. Pros: 1) Build quality is excellent. Although the speaker is dustproof, but if you want to avoid dust accumulation on its exterior, I would recommend a cover bag for the speaker. Button presses are also adequately good, won't hurt your fingers. Hard rubber casing on the outer part of both bass radiators and lower part to avoid slipping and much better grip. 2) Sound quality is also excellent. Whether lows, mids, highs or crisp bass, JBL Xtreme 2 won't let you down. Loudness is also upto the mark even on highs, though less difference can be seen from mids to highs, than from lows to mids. Bass is also very satisfying, crisp, thumpy, and not like earth shaking loudspeakers. Every smallest of the beat can be heard at significant clarity, accurately to the source. 3) Battery life is also very good A full charge can last approx 2-3 days on listening music at 20-30% volume, 4-6 hours daily usage. And if you're not a daily music listener, it's Charge-n-Forget type, will seem infinite battery to you. Moreover, on listening music above 70% volume, a full charge will last 8-9 hours continuously (Remember to keep it in a cool place in this case, for better durability) 4) Bluetooth Connectivity The speaker's bluetooth range is approx 3-5 meters, works even beyond that on 2x2 transceiver Bluetooth 5.0 devices, which is really good. But it should be used in the permissible range for better durability. Cons: 1) It's not that portable Fully quality-loaded speaker lacks some portability. You will have to handle it with care, when shifting from one place to another. I hold it from the belts for shifting, to avoid any accidental drops. 2) Cover bag not included To avoid dust buildup on the speaker's surface, JBL should also provide cover bag along with the speaker, saving us extra bucks in buying it. Conclusion: If you're not on budget, and fond of listening quality music, then this speaker is for you. I bet you won't regret it.

I already own an extreme 2, was going to get the extreme 3. But after finding out you can’t link the extreme 2 to the extreme 3. I decided to get another extreme 2 and link them together. They also pair well with my charge 4. The only disappointing thing is that the extreme 2 runs at 30 watts on the battery and 40 watts when plugged in. The extreme 3 runs at 100 watts, that’s a pretty big jump. I don’t usually listen to it on Max but it would be nice to have more power available. Over all I still love this speaker, it has decent bass for its size. It will do the job for any small gathering of people. Perfect for the backyard. It’s pretty much the size of a football, weight 5 lbs.

My jbl Xtreme 2 power key stopped working 16 days after I purchased. And Amazon conveniently just said our replacement gaurentee only covers 15 days, and refused to replace the product even though it was only 1 day extra. JBL service center did not have the said part available and it took them nearly 2 months to get the required key and replace it. This experience is an eye-opener that Amazon should not be trusted with expensive products as in retail you can replace the product if faulty for 30 days (Harman JBL service center guys told me), also within the terms is overlooking a few days delay if the problem is genuine, whereas Amazon customer executives refused to help in anyway possible. The sound of this product is Rich in bass and has a great deapth. But all the other problems has made regret this purchase from Amazon.

It is not too loud but the sound quality is really good. It is louder when plugged in. I have purchased it after analyzing and viewing a lot of youtube reviews about Sony XB41, Boombox and xtreme2. It is the best choice if you want to hear quality sound. If you want louder with same quality then go for Boombox. One more suggestion, I was waiting for the blue color model since it was out of stock but finally I bought the green one. Green one is really good looking and it is much better than how it is looking in images. Just buy green if you are confused, u will definitely not regret it.

Nice. JBLs are fairly expensive but they do connect without issue and sound good. My only issue with this one is where you plug in the charging cable, the flap is EXTREMELY hard to open. You Can NOT open with your fingers, Not sure what they are trying to secure so well for, I'm not trying to listen to music under water.
