Professional makeup, really easy to use, looks fabulous
I am as far from a makeup artist as a person can get. This makeup is beyond forgiving - it's idiot-proof. You have to mix powder with liquid fixative, then apply with a brush. If you don't get the proportions just so, you're okay - it'll work fine. It goes on as easily as anything you can paint. You could probably use sponges or fingers. The coverage is pretty opaque straightaway, but if your mix was a bit thin, don't worry, because it's buildable and you can keep painting until you reach solid coverage. Guess how I know. Also, a little goes a LONG way. I'll be able to get a dozen Halloween costumes out of one little package. Once this stuff dries, it REALLY stays put, but it washes off easily with soap and water or facial towels. Unless you're planning to wear this to a car wash, it will NOT come off before you mean it to. Here's how I know how good this stuff is: It was mixed and applied by my half-drunk brother who has never done anything makeup-related in his life (he's an artist though and did a nice job since it's hard for me to paint my own face). It was applied over light foundation, without washing my face, all around my eyes, forehead, and nose - all the really greasy, sweaty bits of my face. I also put it on my lips. I tend to touch my face and lick my lips a lot. As soon as it dried, we went to see a live staging of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I had a few drinks. I moved around and sweated a lot. I got damp from squirt gun fire. I fully expected the makeup to have worn off or smudged or cracked or streaked somewhat, but it didn't - not even on my lips. Everything looked exactly like it did when applied. I was flabbergasted. When we got home, I wiped my face down with some Costco-brand face towelettes, and it came right off like it knew its work was done. It was easier to remove than regular old eyeshadow. Two towelettes, and you'd never have known I'd worn it. This stuff is amazing. Get it. Use it. Sparkle!

I need every color RIGHT NOW
*please watch the video all the way through* What kind of magic is in this product!!? Got the silver & gold. I am TOO impressed. Dried down super light and doesn't transfer. Even with water it was NOT budging (end of video I posted). The color is soooo reflective. And a little goes a loooong way. With a tap of the powder and mixture I probably could’ve painted my hands and face. It’s ridiculous!!! Great product for SFX artists, actors who use paint, etc.

Silver Screen Dream!
We took part in a costume contest / mystery solving game around town. We were a 1920's detective agency movie crew transported to a present day crime through the discovery of an object found at the scene (a cellphone). I used this product to appear as if I walked right off the "Silver Screen" and into the action. The Mehron Makeup Powder mixed with the Mehron Mixing Liquid provided the perfect pallet for this vintage look. It was easy to apply, did not crack or run and was super long lasting. It took a good scrub or two to get it all off, but totally worth it. My only complaint was that it was a bit too shiny and not easily matted, but it did the trick just the same. And our team won the Best Dressed award because of it, so thank you!! Great product, will definitely purchase for any future cosmetic costuming needs!

Amazingly effective.
I can't rave about this enough. But I can try. TL;DR: when carefully applied, it's waterproof silver on the skin and won't come off until you want it to. The shaker-lid is kinda useless. Carefully pry it out, then save the dust that was stuck to it. Use a very tiny spoon (steal some “sample” spoons from an ice-cream shop) or just use your brush to transfer powder to your palette (I use the lid from a spaghetti-sauce jar). For a full adult male chest and back, that's about a light dusting over the entire jar lid; not even ¼ of the powder. Cut a pair of tiny slits into the safety-seal on the liquid and drip it in. It's amazing to watch the sparkly, glittery powder instantly turn into a puddle of mercury. I've been applying this over moisturizer and a makeup primer, in a very thin coat, then as it starts to dry on the skin, going back over any edges that might have been too thin. Generally, though, one coat will do you. After applying, wait until it's mostly dry, then use some Mehron fixing powder — the gloss may go back a notch, from “mercury” to “stainless steel,” but it's worth it — and once that's been brushed all over, spray lightly with a binder spray. Done like that, the silvery finish remains bright, metallic, and does not transfer off even in Florida summer heat and sweat (it's not the 86°F weather, it's the 98% relative humidity), and survives: • light rubbing • clothes contact (cotton, &c) • being thrown into a (salt-based) swimming pool • rain While repeated rubbing or harsher materials (eg: elastic waistbands) will erode it, the metal finish will stay in place in the shower. Just add some dish soap or shower soap, however, and it pretty much instantly dissolves; it'll wash clean with just soap and fingers, no need to scrub and loofah — although it may take a little careful washing to avoid leaving faint, greyish patches, particularly on the face.

Tricky for beginners
Mehron came highly recommended & videos made it look super easy to apply. Haha. Practice first! Being pressed for time I added the mixing liquid into my cupped hand & plopped in some powder. Mixed with a brush & applied. Wow, the color popped! Painted on more & overlapped strokes. Wait, why did the color remove? Why did all the liquid evaporate? I learned, too late, that it was best to mix in a narrow container, use a big brush & paint a full stroke from forehead to chin. Do not overlap as color will be lifted. Work fast. This type of paint uses a considerable amount of product, compared to the water based cakes. Need to practice more for a full face/body application but think it works best for details & accents.

This stuff works great. I have very sensitive skin and I had no issues using it on my face. I also wear contacts and again had no problem. Eyeshadow will not stick to this stuff so you will need a good primer as a base. I recommend not wearing it outside on extremely hot days around your eyes though as it may drip into your eyes and cause irritation (had this problem at a recent convention while in my costume).

Works awesome. Decently waterproof. I have yet to experiment with replacing the water with it in my water activated liner, but I bet it would do a good job. I just wanted the mixing agent to use for turning eyeshadow into liners and to revitalize my dry brow pomade which it did a decent job of, the added silver pigment was just a bonus to me but now I want to paint my whole body silver for funsies.
