Fugi 5 Kit Grouting & Silicone Profiling & Applicator Tool Kit

Got these as have a lot of silicone beading to get sorted out in the house we are fullyu renovating but we first need to sort our Military house that we are leaving soon as a lot of the solicone is knackered and i would rather sort myself knowing its done right that the repair service we get that could have the wrong trade doing it and mucking it up. These worked great and give you a whole type of different beads and sizes you can have and being the brand they are, they are top quality and dont lose their durability so definilty worth getting these over a less a known brand and will be cost effective in the long run.

These are amazing. I saw them on a you tube film and can’t believe how easy these are to use and what a great result and finish they give. Makes me feel like a right smarty pants

In all fairness, I wish I had bought a profiling kit like this years ago. They are easy to use. I've used it in 2 rooms and god very good, straight lines. You should know that if your corners are not 90 degrees, the use of the extra plastic legs to stop the spreader from sinking into grout lines is very tricky. My corners were a little under 90 degrees so I had to twist the spreader to keep the lines clean and straight. But this meant I could not use the grout line support legs and ended up with the sealant line sinking into the grout lines at the corners. Which is actually a nice effect, so not too upset. it takes some practice to get right - so practice. The the result is good. Clean up is a bit of kitchen roll - and if you leave the sealant to dry on the spreader, it easily peels off.

I held back on buying the kit as i simply couldn't justify spending that amount on a set of plastic assortments for very occasional use. HOWEVER, That said!! This has been one of my best buys so far this year. This makes profiling much easier and produces a nice, professional finish with lots of varying options. The finish is so good and consistent that it beats any sealant finish ive seen done using the "finger method" which also introduces bacteria and compromises the mould protection of your silicone. I particularly liked the little black guides for use on rough/uneven surfaces, also the plastic case is smart and of a sensible design. My kit did not come with instructions but i was able to figure it out with no stress. If you are a pro or keen DIYer just get the kit. Its sturdy and of good quality which should last for many years. An added bonus is that the silicone wipes cleanly off the attachments but you may have to use a tiny pointed screwdriver to remove excess silicon from the crevices. Only snag is that you may use more silicon than the "finger" method so do bear that in mind and get a big paper roll or paper towel to hand Definitely worth your money!!

I just used this when I re-did the silicone seal around my kitchen worktops. I did a lot of research (and watched a few YouTube videos) and this seemed to be the best set of joint forming tools available. The set comes with a tool to remove the old silicone (with spare blades) that worked well. The set has various formers for making different sized seals (a red set for working across tiled backgrounds and a blue set for where both sides of the joint is smooth) - maximum size is 16mm. It gave a really good looking finish. It is quite expensive but I do not regret the purchase I would recommend this without any reservations.

I bought these after watching a few people recommend them on YouTube. I decided to buy a set for all those current and future silicone jobs around the house. A sturdy case with tools that cover a good number of profiles and sizes. The extra 'clip on' pieces are perfect for keeping the tool flat and perpendicular to the surfaces, too. I've used them several times and there are no signs of wear on any of the tools, and they clean up easily with some spirits. Gives a great, neat finish, albeit with some practice. In all, the perfect kit for getting professional results for the home DIYer.

Like many, I’ve had nightmares with silicon sealant, ending up with more of a sticky mess on my hands than where it needed to be. With an imminent house sale coming up and a determination to deal with this myself I headed to the internet for advice. When a “tool” was promised to be the answer I was sceptical. More searching suggested my scepticism was wrong so I took the plunge and bought this little kit. The result is amazing. Sure, there’s some waste and using silicon sealant there’s going to be some on your hands but the results are amazing. Cut the nozzle straight at the same width as the tool you are using and you’ll soon be left with sharp lines. Silicon doesn’t stick to the tool so any excess you just remove with one of them. An absolute revelation. I am sure using it in confined spaces would be more of a challenge but in a shower or bath it’s brilliant!

Es el segundo que he comprado pues se me pierden algunas piezas; en realidad las dos que suelo utilizar por los ángulos que tienen. Con un poco de paciencia y viendo un par de videos te conviertes en experto y eso que en mi vida lo había utilizado pero me horrorizaba ver como te aplican la silicona en ventanas, baños, etc. Así que decidí aprender y con este kit no necesitas nada más, ni agua, ni jabones, ni historias y quedan rectas y perfectas. Mejor que las que me pusieron de origen en la vivienda.

I'm a experienced Diy'er and I've done a lot of caulking over the years I've always used the wet soapy finger method with pretty good results. After remodeling my kitchen and doing a subway tile backsplash I wanted it to look good so I went to You Tube for some caulking tips. I came across the Fugi kit and figured I would give it a try. Yes it is kinda spendy but after dropping much more on tile I figured it might be worth the cost. I did two separate colors white along the cabinets and grout color in the corners and along the countertops. I primarily used the three blue pieces I didn't find the orange Fugi with the tiles skids helpful my tile is a older style clay tile and pretty uneven. I did lay down a pretty nice caulk edge with the blue Fugi on the 5 setting I found if I leaned it forward I could get over the grout groves and get a nice clean edge. You don't have to get it on one pass I went over it multiple times and even had to add some silicone to some areas. The other blue Fugi tool with the 90 degree edge works fantastic for cleaning up slight lines and excess silicone!! I'm very pleased with the end results and I'm sure I will use the Fugi tools every time I need to caulk something!! The Fugi tools are really easy to clean I used dawn soap and water and they look like new.
