Extremely good for homeschoolers. It talks about the Golden age of Islam, Roman Empire, Cold war and, African colonies...etc

We did not start practicing from it but I had a look at it and I am sure that it will be very good if my kids will know everything what is in this book.

Great workbook for homeschooling. I love this brand for my child it’s easy to follow and my kid can follow without much difficulty.

I liked how there were lessons to read and some maps to study then there were questions to answer and passeges to write about. I purchased this book for use during the pandemic. My 5th grader didn't go back to school after spring break - it was so late in the school year I didn't want to get a 5th grade book so I went ahead and moved forward to 6th grade thinking there would be some overlap and there was a little bit. He used this book from March to August (I went ahead and had him study during the summer while he was at home also). He started 6th grade in September and this really helped him already be prepared. The directions on each lesson are great. I liked how the lessons are set up. I would def recommend this product - either to supplement learning - or to get during the summer to prepare for the upcoming year. 11 year old got alot out of it. I purchased multiple books from this brand to supplement the learning.

Very generalized social studies book. Covers some subjects like ancient Rome, ancient Greece, South America, Africa, and energy sources. It is a good overview but I would like to see Spectrum come out with books for each subject, like a whole book on ancient Rome for example. Just seemed to just barely get into the information and then it was time for a new topic. It's a good starting point but you need to delve deeper into the topics like watch YouTube videos or something. I found it very hard to find Canadian grade 6 social studies books so this is all I could really find. Canadian curriculum is a bit of a joke, so I mostly just use USA stuff instead, but for social studies I'd rather my student learn about the entire world instead of just USA focussed information so that is why I chose this book.
