Panasonic KX-TCA400 Over The Head Headset

I am not a serious gamer or a techie...I am a parent who needed sturdy decent quality headsets for two kids and their friends to use with xbox live games. They fit snugly into the xbox headset port, have a nice long cord so there is no tension between their heads and the controller and have been passed around and used and probably a little abused amongst all the kids playing with no signs of breaking in 3 months and counting. The kids say the microphone works great and they can hear everybody dandy. I like the fact they have one ear free to hear me holler at them to keep it down when a newbie gamer uses the Hammer of Dawn in an enclosed area and annihilates the friendlies...one can only handle so much Halo drama before hollering. I have discovered the two ear models make it very difficult to communicate with kids during campaigns so I like the one ear part. These are not the expensive Sennheiser's I use for conference calls, but who cares for $16. They are sturdy, comfortable enough to wear for marathon campaigns at sleepovers and perfect for kids playing on the xbox. If they break them in 6 months I got my monies worth and I won't feel the need to throttle them. They do work well with our Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phones in a pinch…no they are not uber high end quality sound or microphone but they are not too shabby either..this is a great value priced set for the kids to play xbox live with.

Had other models in the past... inexpensive ones. Saw the reviews, gave it a try. It's just ...ok. The sound quality is too bassy-boomy - not enough mid/treble, so voices sound a bit muffled. The sound level is good. Comfort...it's a big tight on the head - strong spring-back. But it's still comfortable. I like the fold-up design, as it can be folded and put away, or on a hook, but it seems to want to be in a 'folded' position too easily. I'm still getting used to it. It's well made, especially for the inexpensive price.

Used this headset about 2 months. Perform as advertised, very comfortable, adjustable fit keeps headset in place - even when walking and handling chores. Headset is much better than my hearing aids - incoming voice is very clear. I control loudness with the cordless phone loudness control, but after adjusting during the first incoming call, I've never had to readjust. I am advised by listening party that my voice is very clear and noise free. I strongly recommend this headset. I use this headset with the new Panasonic KX-TG6592T DECT 6.0 Amplified Cordless Phone which I purchased at the same time. This quality combination solved my phone call hearing frustrations. Additionally, if a person requires an amplified cordless phone, I can highly recommend the above mentioned company and model.

Update: It is now May 2020, and this headset is still going strong after almost 6 years! It has been my day-to-day go-to headset for all that time. The earpiece padding is getting a bit shabby, but it hasn't fallen apart, and this headset travels everywhere with me. It must have flown around the world at least 10 times! I plug it into my home phone, my laptop, and my cell phone - using an adaptor I subsequently bought. I have even plugged it into an aeroplane armrest so my daughter could listen to frozen on a recent flight. The headset folds into a compact package that is also much less likely to be broken when packed into my laptop backpack. I have worked from home since I bought this headset, and have used it most working days since then. The audio jack on my laptop has gone flakey, so I have just purchased a USB to 3.5mm adaptor, so I can continue using this headset. I actually also bought a new one of these at the same time so I have a replacement as and when the original finally wears out. Original review: I checked reviews here before buying this item. I use it for day long web sessions, and am completely happy with the headphones. I needed a headset at short notice that would plug into a phone rather than a computer. This headset isn't quite as comfortable as my older, bulkier, computer headset, but after 2 days of multiple 1-2 hour sessions, they weren't hurting - but I was aware I was wearing them. The sound at my end is clear, and everyone at the remote end said the quality was better than the previous solution I had been using.

Noy happy at all with this headset. Im on the phone for work all day at home and on the road so I need a good headset. I've used over the head for 15 years. Unfortunately I go through a headset every 8 months or so. I used to get a nice Plantronics headset but I can't seem to find it anymore. Because I haven't been able to find it I continue to try others. Everything about this headset was just okay at best to start with. Thr real issue is no one can hear me unless I yell, literally speak obnoxiously loud ! ! ! ! Very frustrating when I'm driving in traffic and need to take it off and hold the phone by hand. I know you can't please everyone all the time but atleast test the product and out out a decent one at that. I'm not the type that is hard to please or unrealistic. It doesnt fit my head or anyones head i asked to try it. Or i should sayit doesn'tfit good it's like it's of and notright. It sounds okay at best it should be louder but I could have delt with that. But no working unless I yell, nope can't do it. I'll be there soon enough the days when I'm yelling or can't hear what anyone is saying.

Articolo arrivato nei tempi previsti per la consegna, ben imballato ed in ottime condizioni. Potete dire addio al mal di collo quando parlate al telefono (nel mio caso fisso). Mia madre non ne può fare più a meno. Tende a passare ORE al telefono con amici e parenti, e questo acquisto è stato un toccasana per il suo collo, dato che ora non dovrà più tenerlo piegato per parlare al telefono ed allo stesso tempo fare altri movimenti o servizi. Ve lo consiglio vivamente.

Works great for operating handsfree when taking calls. Voice quality is great. Far end voice quality is good too. Light weight and feels comfortable even when using for long hours.

I use a notebook to record audio for volunteer radio shows. Lately I've used Zoom a lot. This headset arrived promptly. It is comfy to wear and the mike is good quality. One usual feature is two input modes, either thru a standard rca round jack or a usb port. Both work fine and I've used the headset several times!
